So I have a Cap1 Quicksilver and Savor card.

My Quicksilver is over two years old and the Savor just hit a year. They'll both be paid off in full next month when my cycle closes. The APR on the Quicksilver is higher than the Savor and the Savor has better cashback options. Is it possible to combine the Quicksilver and CL with the Savor card?

But, by and large, SYNCB, Comenity, Fifth Third, PenFed, TRUIST, BMO Harris, PNC, US Bank, USAA, etc., do not have that option either.

I merged my journey card and quicksilver card to make my total credit line 7k...that was back in 2014. I have not been able to get a increase on the card every since. I had a capital one platinum (the old one that charged a 3.00 membership fee) and I couldn't merge that with my quicksilver or do a product change so I closed the account. I am left with only one card with capital and don't think I will be going for any of their products going forward. I been a capital one user for the last 15 years, and I can honestly say they don't do anything for me haha. :-)

Yeah. I think once my cards after I pay them off this month I may sockdrawer them and focus on other cards. The Savor is nice with the cashback but plenty of cards can take it's spot.

So recently on the forum I asked and learned that you cannot combine 2 Cap1 cards anymore. I have a Quicksilver and a Savor card and I know you can only have two cards with Cap1. I'm not really using the Quicksilver anymore, which was the card I wanted to combine with the Savor but can't, so if I wanted to replace it with the Venture do I just apply for the Venture or call to change the Quicksilver if approved for the Venture?

I have three cards with Cap1, but cannot add any more (not that I want to!). FWIW, none of my cards started as a sub-prime or secured card. Other people have reported other results. You could just go to the Cap1 page to apply for the Venture card, and see what happens. If, like me, you're not eligible for another card, it'll tell you right there before letting you proceed with applying. Or you could call and ask.
