If you are looking to use a single card, most flat rate, >1% rewards cards like the Capital One Quicksilver will be better than a card with multiple 3% categories like the Capital One SavorOne. However, there are various flat rate rewards cards that are better than the Quicksilver (such as the Wells Fargo Active Cash, Chase Freedom Unlimited, TD Bank Double Up, etc.).

If you looking to create a multi-card lineup to maximize rewards, the SavorOne is a strong card and a much better choice than the Quicksilver. Very few, widely available cards offer 3% cash back on groceries, and even fewer offer 3% cash back on entertainment purchases like the SavorOne does. It also provides 3% cash back on dining, a fairly high regular spend category for many people.

Just depends on how you spend your money. Pick the one that works best for your spend patterns. Other than cash back rates and categories they are pretty much the same.

I have both of those cards. the savor one is excellent in my view with the 3 pct cb on groceries and dining. the QS is ok with the 1.5 pct cb but i have 3 cards with 1.5, comenity mc, and NAVY CR. I also have a 2 pct cb card penfed pcr.

the cap 1 cash back redemption is quick and easy, last time i received a check from them in 3 days

I agree with the other's sentiment:

If you want to keep it simple and just have 1 main credit card for all of your spend, QS is your guy. If you want to eventually build your wallet out with multiple cards to cover specific categories with higher return rate, go for S1. It looks like you prequalified for the version for "Good credit," so I would not expect the moon on SL for either of them, but Cap1 is a great bank to build with IMO.

If you do much international travel, a good perk on the Savior is no foreign transaction fees. Wife is currently in Paris and it's hit or miss with vendors accepting AMEX. I'm in and out of Belize a lot, nobody there takes AMEX. Having a Visa with no foreign transaction fees when traveling abroad is a good backup.

The SavorOne is better than the Quicksilver. Better to get a 2% flat cash back card elsewhere. SavorOne is one of my favorite cards (3% on dining/restaurants, 3% on entertainment which includes the movies, 3% on popular streaming which weird enough it includes me getting 3% back on my Cox Internet bill and 3% back on groceries).

I agree with the other comments, but will just make a quick note here that with Savor One the grocery 3% category doesn't include Walmart or Target (they are explicitly excluded).

This may or may not be important depending on where you do your grocery shopping.
