Welcome to the forums, @Spacewater ! The best cards are the ones that fit your spend. It's hard for anyone to recommend a card if we know nothing about you. What does your spend look like? How is your credit profile? Is your score 350? Is it 850? Have you opened 1 card in the last 10 years? Have you opened 10 cards in the last month? Details are required unless you want a bunch of people throwing out arbitrary answers that you would have more luck finding with a Google search.

You can use the CardPointers app it will give suggested cards by spend category

Thank you! I've seen a post here on myFico with username TheFIGuy, he posted the list of all cards that give 2% cash back. I'm looking for a similar list but with 3% to 5%. Not specific to any category though, I'm just curious. I'm currently using my NFCU More rewards alot.

So you asking about flat rate cards? AFAIK, there are no such cards paying 4 or 5% on all transactions. There are some that pay 5% on the first $1000 each month for example, which may or may not be close, depending on your total spend. AOD has stopped offering 3% card to new customers (current users are grandfathered, at least for now), USAlliance does have a 3% card but as of now the 3% stops at the end of 2022.

If OP really means flat rate cards, doesn't matter so much. Why doesn't everyone just get the flat rate 20% card and forget all the worrying about which card to use when!

Have not seen cards mentioned, outside of unattainable AOC.

MoreRewards is pretty close to flat 3%, if you don't want to juggle cards, you could do worse than that. Most of us around here do the juggling, though.

Lol.. you're right! I meant flat rate 3% to 5%. I found PCM credit union has 5% but maxed at $50/month cash back And AOD apparently discontinued their flat 3% card. Btw, thank you for your comments guys. I'm new here and trying to learn things!😃

@Spacewater as you know, Many cards give an average of approximately 3% when one of their categories is 5% and the other 1% depending on their use. I don't mind juggling from a digital wallet either.

I'm not aware of any 3% flat rate cash back card, let alone 3-5%. So I think you should forget about this quest.

The PCM Credit Union card you mention is interesting, but that credit union has very restrictive membership eligibility, and the 5% card comes with a cap and an annual fee (which can be waived by going a lot of other business with PCM). But if I were in their highly selective membership field I would definitely consider it.

Discover has a 2% gas/dining card which over the first year they offer 4% cash back.

You've got to juggle it to get rewards consistently 3%+

Discover Miles gives you 1.5% and you get a match of another 1.5% after your first year is up. It's only temporary but it is 3%.

I like %s, not "points", lol.

The PenFed PR has no annual fee, 5 points at the pump, and 3 points at supermarket, restaurants, and more. And I am pretty sure a point is worth a penny.
