App for AMEX

Looking to apply for AMEX.BK in 2001 (almost 7 years).No late payments after BK.I have three CC with low balances,car loan,mortgages,etc.TU-735,EX-714,EX-680.What are my chances?Thx.

From other posts I've heard that BK is a deal-breaker for Amex.

Yep- AMEX is not BK friendly.

I was on whogavemecredit the other day and noticed that if you go directly through AMEX they do not take you with BK's. On the other hand I did notice when people applied for AMEX through other banks (ex. Household) with scores like yours they were approved.

You may want to go on whogavemecredit and check that out.

I cannot find anywhere on the HSBC site to apply for the AMEX card they cobrand. I found 1 page that requests a reservation code.

On the bottom of the apply page there a number. Did you try calling that number? Maybe they can give you more info.

I'm reasonably sure that I've read on these boards that the HSBC AmEx is invitation-only. The site you found is where you enter the code they send you in the invitation. sorry...
