I imagine this kind of takes the fun out of getting approved for the new Hilton card.

It kind of did, but they increased my TCL 5K. I guess they have to keep it in line with whatever algorithms are associated with my profile. Gotta look at the glass as 1/2 full. 🤙

I have had my BCP for some time now. Few years or so. Today I decided to apply for the Hilton Aspire. Got approved. Happy, thought all was well. Then I noticed that my BCP CL was dropped from 22K down to 12K. After being approved for 15K on the Hilton card. Has anyone else experienced this? To be honest I'm a little bummed about getting dropped 10K off my limit. Thoughts?

I have heard many others share a similar experience. That made me a little hesitant to ask for a CLI when my Bonvoy was at 20k, my aspire 24k, and my BCP at 8k. I have never asked for a CLI with my BCP; had it about 14 months. My Bonvoy had an initial cl of 20k so after about 10 months I decided to go for it. They immediately said they wanted to see some bank statements and said it could take up to 10 days for an answer. After about 10 days I finally heard they had approved my cl for 40k. No other limits were changed. Im glad they asked for bank statements rather than dilute my credit limits. I also have a platinum card.

hard to see a pattern here
