Just launched - Another credit card comparison site

A lot of us MFers are tops (in terms of cc knowledge). However, below is a site (I have no affiliation with ) that makes it easier to quantify rewards. There a few other sites that have thier pros and cons in comparison but this [graphic] user interface is much friendlier. Plus there is no annoying sign-up info requirement like NerdWallet.

Definitely pretty cool. The value for each perk however, I'm not sure if too accurate. Though this comparison tool has some great data points to consider, it also introduces so many inputs that could easily skew some of the value numbers. Still helpful directionally I think. Thanks for the find!

I wish those sorts of things pulled in from the non-Big Boys. Without My Fico, we have no idea what the ACTUAL best cards are because we keep getting the ones that pay for advertising shoved in our faces over and over. I only look at those sites to have it in my head what the "normal" person sees.

The problem with this and other websites that try to match cards to consumers is that picking the best cards is more complicated than most of these websites make it. For one example, most consumers carry at least two or three cards; My Fico'ers may carry a dozen or more. This website tries to pick (ONE) card for you that covers everything. Another problem is what assumptions are made about credits against the AF. The AMEX Gold card came up tops for me in quick scan. I have that card, but I'm likely to close it because of my non-use of the credits. Howeve, when I click on "see the math" they are assuming someone will fully use the $240 in food delivery credits. Also, far down my list is the Bank of America Premium Rewards card which shows the base earnings for it. However, I'm Platinum Honors status in Preferred Rewards so my payout is much higher. And once you get into the various perks, coming up with an accurate valuation can be a personal decision that is difficult to quantify.

So IMO, these types of websites can be somewhat helpful to the casual card user who doesn't want to do their own research and calculations, but the end results are sometimes unrefined.

Right @unsungivy liked I noted this tool maybe much better suited for the other 99% of American credit card seeking population.

But I hear you about the lack of the Big-Boys. However, is it those Big-Boys that have agreed to pay this site for referrals. If you believe what copied below from the site's the Ad Disclosure, (underlined in Red,) then these results don't neccessarily exclude the non Big-boys. Of course, the site isn't going to share what issuers it is actually considers.

I hear you @Aim_High. It appears that this site is trying to give the best one overall card which is still fine for non MFers like my DW.

But if one takes the time, I believe one can play with the spend on the various categories to tailor for a specific rewards.

Interestingly, it lists cards the would be a negative proposition.

I just input my estimated spending amounts into this site and found that you can drill down deep into the assumptions about the usage of credits by clicking on the "More (Optional)" sections. If you are willing to scroll through the whole list and zero out the benefits that have no value to you, you can fine tune the results.

Overall, the tool seems to be good for pointing out cards that may not have drawn your attention before. Then, it's up to you to figure out why the card was recommended and whether or not it deserves your consideration.
