Does anyone know who they pull?

if i were frozen, and only one CR was avail could they just use that to make a decision?

Does anyone know if they are still relatively easy credit (store card, not visa)??

i guess i could get one just for more tl's and i don't want to be denied. waste a valuable inq.

they pull EQ

they are still easy, but you might get a $200 store card. I have 4 now! lol

I don't mind starting at $200, but if I can't request to have my account reviewed and increased and you the bank don't do it, then I have a problem.

my cards with open dates and current CL:

1999- $300

2008- $500

2009 - $200

2009- $200

the one with $500 was starting to look like it was actually get the steps from 200-500 and then next one everyone had been reporting to 1000 and upgrade to visa and then target went into melt down and froze there increases (someone please tell me if you have been increased on store card or upgraded after feb of this year, visa card holders are treated totally different so you all don't count in the no increase)

what kills me is the card from 99, I have had as low as credit scores as the 400's and as high as 800 and have filed bk 2 in between but NEVER any movement from them. oh well.

Target gave me a store card back in 2000. The card was converted to a Target Visa when Target started offering it. I think you have a good chance of getting a store card first if your credit isn't pristine.

Geez, your scores aren't THAT bad. You've just had a run of bad luck is all.

Go for the Target app. They are bad with CLI's but they are a fun card to have.

Thansk pattycake - i just wish i were in the 700's...but i dont' deserve to be...at least not yet.

I will give it a whirl - see what happens...

i have strategy in place right now of when to apply...one inquiry won't affect my score as of 09/23/09 for TU

I am waiting to have 5 hard pulls from a CA get recoded to soft....that's for EX...once they go away i can apply to Target and Macy's....

target just switched there application to be apply in store or by mail only and I HIGHLY suggest you only apply in store with Macy's

Both cards would give them to you now inq don't effect either in my experience

when did target tighten up their belts with respect to CLI's?

at one point, i heard they were giving away store cards at the cashier line....

Target has always been tight with CLI's, but they got worse recently when their credit division started losing money.
