Anyone apply for this card? Which score is pulled? They have a pre-approval for it, but my offered APR was seriously high at 26.49%, even if they did offer a SL of $8000.

@Jarheadmajor hey man i am trying to find the pre approval link but no where to be found..i setup an account with them but nothing on the dasboard about the credit card. where did you get that preappoval?

Sorry, I just noticed when looking back that you have to be a Truebill "premium" member which only costs like $3.99/month. I sent that up as a way to monitor my many subscriptions and to help with lowering some of my bills.

Hadn't heard of this until I saw this post. Just went to check it out and it looks like they are adding cashback to the card "soon". Up to 5%, at 1000's of retailers. This is something I'll be keeping an eye on, just to see how they structure their cashback. It's issued by Celtic Bank, which I know nothing about....going to have to do some research on this one.

If you PIF each month, the APR% is a nonfactor and I wouldn't let that be the deciding factor for you. It's certainly more important if you plan to carry balances, however.

The one caveat to this card, it requires you to enroll in the SmartPay feature. Obviously, Truebill and their credit card are designed to aid people in keeping on-time payments and reducing debt, that's what they're structured for. I would have to see how strong the cashback structure is going to be before diving into it.....as I've never been a fan of automatic payments. They clearly keep the automatic payment structure within your own "safety" parameters, but for me it would take some getting used to. And this seems to infer that they would have access to your checking account balance info in order to monitor the auto-payments......another thing I'm not a fan of. Credit cards need to keep their noses out of my bank accounts.

So it looks to have some strengths, but I'll have to wait to see the cashback structure to see how it weighs in. That SmartPay seems to require a little too many permissions for my liking.

I'm not sure what the secret sauce is then. I just got an email saying the Truecard link was open/active. Clicked the link in the email and did the pre-approval. When I went to Truebill app, credit card box was there to "complete my application". Just assumed it would be there and open for all premium members. Sorry.

Celtic Bank is very much an Issuer of Sub-Prime, Credit Builder, High APR, High Annual Fee credit cards such as Surge, Reflex, Indigo and Deserve. This card seems to be along those very same lines to me.
