I reached my SUB ! Currently over 82K UR points. I see about the Hyatt points and as far as airlines go, unfortunately it's a little tricky because I have AA hub at M.I.A. so if I wanted to use them I would have to transfer through British Airways. Last year I flew with United, Jet Blue, & Spirit. I don't think I've tried Delta or Southwest yet.

I'm less than $100 away from hitting my CSP sub, I've seen several videos about transfer partners but I'd appreciate a reminder, between flights and hotels. I've flown both United and Jet Blue and I don't mind staying at inexpensive hotels like IHG or similar.

There's a subreddit just for award travel, that's where I'd read up on this. My (very limited) understanding from reading the forums is that it depends very much on where and how you want to travel which partner(s) make the most sense.

For air travel, domestic economy, one answer. International F or J, completely different answers that often depend on origin and destination, and whether positioning flights are something you're willing to do. Similar story with hotels.

Best thing is to decide the trip you'd ideally like to take and see how you can optimize the points you have toward it. The subreddit I mentioned looks as though it can assist with suggestions, although I've never posted there. Good luck, and happy travels.

Avoid IHG transfers. The point values are rarely above 1 cpp, and last I checked they often sold points for less than 1 cpp.

I mostly transferred to United and Hyatt.

Switch your thinking to where do I want to go with these points and how many points required and is it better to pay with points or cash

take a look at awardhacker.com

You might also consider whether you'd get better point redemption for booking via the Chase portal, since that will be 1.25 cpp, assuming that the prices are comparable.

My main reason for getting below 5/24 this year was to get a few Chase SUBs (Ink Cash, Sapphire Preferred, and soon Ink Unlimited) and pool those points with my Amex and Citi points for transfers to FlyingBlue or Virgin. Those make the most sense for me living near ATL and redeeming for flights on DL or native metal.

This is definitely a YMMV thing, as what airport you live near and what kind of travel you want to do and where greatly impacts which partners will work best for you.

As for which partners offer the best potential redemption value per point... Chase is a bit lacking in partners that offer outsized value, the most notable exception being Hyatt. In many cases you may actually be better off spending the points on the Chase portal at a fixed 1.25 cents per point. You should always check there before transferring.

And certainly with the CSR (rather than the CSP) for economy domestic, the 1.5cpp through the portal is often very competitive.
