There was that small window about 4 years ago (pre-Savor refresh) when they were allowed. Wish I had taken advantage of it back then. Keep thinking they'll flip that switch and allow PC's to the Savor line again but, so far, no dice.

I guess there's always a chance. They've gone back and forth on graduating secured cards, for example. I know some are still hoping to see the return of account combinations as well.

I've been trying to get my Capital One Mastercard card out of the sock drawer for several years now. It was my first card using credit steps and then eventually upgraded to quicksilver. I've been trying to get the savor one card, but it's never available to upgrade to. I ended up ungrading to Venture One over a year ago despite not traveling much in hopes that I could upgrade to savor one from that, but no such luck. Any idea how I can upgrade to a Savor One?

I haven't heard of anyone recently being offered that upgrade option. I recently upgraded a Quicksilver one to Quicksilver with only other option the Venture. Also upgraded Platinum and Quicksilver was only option. You are probably going to have to apply for the Savor if it's really what you want.

You could also call Capital One and I'm sure they'd let you know if it'll ever be an option for you.

It is only good for rebuilder card but even then Cap1 is bucketing customers now...

I would have kept it if they upgraded to Savor.

Similar to you we've been trying to upgrade my DW's Quicksilver to the Savor One card. In 2019 we had product changed it from a Platinum to the Quicksilver.

The rep told us recently only option they were showing was to product change to the Venture One. She has been getting a invitation to apply for the Savor One almost monthly for a year and a half. I just figured it would be eligible to product change when we called, but nope it wasn't. We currently only use it for a small reoccurring bill just to keep it active. Hopefully they eventually allow us to product change it. No desire to apply for it.

The only reason I have 2 QS cards is because I am holding out hope that maybe one day they will either let me convert one to a SavorOne card and/or let me combine accounts again. The 2nd card has 0% interest until Dec. so it won't be closed until then at least but it feels "weird" to me to have two of the same 1.5% CB card when I also have two general 2% CB cards. I don't need the Cap1 cards but at the same time who knows what Cap1 will do in the future.

I used the link to upgrade my Platinum to a Quicksilver late last year, and I don't think there was even a soft pull (since I have an account, they do account review soft pulls every couple months, and they probably just used the last one).
