with the exception of a small loss in total avaiable credit it should not effect your scores, unless that small amount would make your util% jump above one of the scoring triggers. If it won't do that then go ahead and close it.

Hi all. I'm new to this. I have 2 cards from synch: care credit with 6k cl with $1300 balance and Amazon store with $460 cl and$0 balance (recently knocked down). I just paid off the Amazon card. It's 5 years old on October 26, 2022. I'd like to close it. But since it's approaching 5 years old, I'm not sure that's the wise things to do. It's not my oldest card. My oldest is approaching 17 years. Any advice?

Since you have older cards reporting it's not an issue at all as to AAoA and AoA. Plus closed cards still report for up to 10 years, so you have no issues closing it and it shouldn't effect your scores either.
