Chase CLI Feature through App

As of the latest Chase app update, you can now request a CLI on the app itself. It is located in the Account Services options on the main page, where you can also Refer a Friend and Transfer a Balance. Users on another forum site that shall remain unnamed are reporting that it is a SOFT PULL and several reporting being approved for increases. I attempted it, but because my Freedom Flex is only 2 months old, I don't think I qualify based on that. Try it and report back those DPs!

It's not there on my app and I have received the latest update.

Interesting, the link was there on my wife's Amazon Prime account but wasn't there on my Chase Freedom account. However when I clicked the link on the Amazon Prime account I received this message.

Neither of us have ever asked for nor received a limit increase on our Chase cards. My account is 1 month older than her account (2 years 7 months vs 2 years 6 months). I tend to put more spend on my card than she does. We are both over 5/24 though, both of us are 6/24. I have heard some say you can't get a limit increase if you're above 5/24. Perhaps this is why.

That's the same message I got, but I'm at 4/24. However, my Freedom Flex is only 2 months old, so that's probably the deciding factor for me.

Nothing on the app for me. My cards range from ~1.5 years old to ~20 years old, but none of them have a CLI option that I'm seeing. Sad, as I would definitely consider bumping up CFU as so much spend is being run through it lately.

I can't see this in the app but I can see this option on the website. It says I'm not eligible on both my cards though. 😢

@CatsFaninLex On iOS device running Chase App with latest update (from 1 hour ago) I can't see the request but similar to @DakotaM., I do see the option when I sign into the online website. When I click it, nothing changes on the website which strikes me as very weird

You can also request CLI through secure message center. No phone call required! Just freeform initiate the conversation "credit limit increase" and Chase will respond with a template to fill out!

Interesting ... I just looked on my app and see it on my Freedom Flex that is 2+ years old and my latest Chase Amazon about 1 or 2 old. When I tap on it I do get the same message that someone has already said on this thread.

Not sure how that works but I turn 4/24 next month.

Just a data-point

I do not have the CLI option on either the app or on the website.

CSP, aprox 4.5(ish) years old.

Only chase product period.

Well under 5/24 and all other Chase drama.

Never received CLI (and never asked)

-Card gets very minimal swipes and dollars.

I'd be curious about asking for CLI if I knew it would be a Soft Pull. HP, no way.

So I am guessing that, this is a newly introduced feature?,

that we really do not have any solid DP's about other than "I get nothing post"

"WE" do not even know if this is going to be a "HP" or a "SP' .. my advice, tread lightly on that button.

I wanted to add, a HP or two is NOT the end of the world. (unless you plan on a new mortgage within a year)

With a strong profile, most lenders will overlook them.

Ahh **bleep**. I have 3 card with chase. One gave option for $500 increase, other gave $2500 increase. Wish i checked the 3rd one before i accepted. Once i accepted one offer, the other ones said they can't complete my request at the moment. Oh well

I, too, am interested if that is going to be a HP or SP. As we know Chase is always HP.

Makes you wonder if Chase maybe loosening up on a few policy to help customers. :thinking:

You seem to be the first one here to actually get a CLI through this mysterious new option. Any indication of a hard pull?

Also, it seems that they give you an offer that you can accept or decline? So you can see what you would get before you accept. If the CLIs are still HP, you could decide if the pull is worth it before accepting.

While having a CLI option online is nice, if they're soft pull that's even better. 2 of my Chase cards could use some growth but I refuse to take a hard pull for a CLI.

That said, neither the website nor the app is giving me the option on any of my 3 cards. Maybe it's being rolled out gradually?

I remember a similar discussion a few years ago about a "request CLI" link appearing online, but then the discussion stopped and (apparently) it disappeared from the website/app. Maybe they are revisiting it now? Hopefully it'll happen, and they'll move to SPs. It would make sense considering most of their competition has been doing it that way for years now.

Ahh apologies. It was through the chase app. Didn't see it when i looked in my online. No hard pull and my all 3 bureaus are unlocked. As to 5/24 I'm honestly not sure but i think I'm right at 3 or 4. Couldn't find an easy way to check through credit karma. Shouldn't be a hard pull as when i checked for each card, it mentioned being preapproved before i could accept the $ CLI increase and mentioned there being no effect on credit account. Wish i took screenshots sadly
