WF trifecta?

Especially for renters Bilt/Active Cash/Autograph seems like a formidable combination. And it's even w/o AF unlike Chase trifecta lol. Bilt can transfer points, has primary CDW coverage like CSP. And like Chase, a mix of Visa and MC(unlike Citi's MC only DC/CC/Premier/Rewards+).

If I knew Autograph would've debuted recently, would've held on apping for C1 S1; more useful categories(cell phone, transit, gas, travel. S1 does have groceries but I don't really use entertainment, in fact it didn't work for a tennis tournament ticket which was a huge letdown)

Just checked and there was a 'former' trifecta Cash Wise/Propel/Signature, wonder how good the current one is compared to those.

Maybe USB launching a new card, they might have been compelled by WF's effective new lineup. Go/Cash +/Connect/Shoppers Rewards

So what are the combined earn rates for this trifecta?

Does having a Bilt allow you to transfer rewards from Active Cash or Autograph to hotels and airlines? Or those are just cash back or have a fixed value for travel or something?

Nope, only Bilt can transfer pts. That's why those cards don't have AF(unlike CSP as multiplier) I guess. But for cb hard to beat methinks?

AOD fans would point out that they get 3% on everything with one card and no AF.

I considered one, but with most of my spend going to Amex I figured the card would be nerfed before I put in enough spend to make up for the lack of a SUB.

Is Amex Gold cheaper than Prime??! Never thought in that way(oh Annually Prime is $139).

I think trifecta denotes 3 cards at an issuer that will cover most spending and is redeemable at the issuer's reward travel portal. Not the case for WF. As such, the only trifectas are CSP/R+CFF+CFU for UR and Plat+Gold+ED for MR (Green is just the cheap lower hybrid of Plat+Gold).

There is no such thing of WF trifecta. The BILT is a standalone. And WF Go Far Reward reward point is an awful system. Points can't be transfered. You can only redeem at WF portal system. Point value is generally just above 1 cpp.

Both WF and BofA have the closed reward system. At least I can redeem cash back to my bank account.

And WF points will expire eventually. I do not remember the timeline or if this has been changed.

Stay away from WF for now.

For those who are grandfathered and/or have a combination of the WF Visa Signature + any of the former Propel AmEx CCs can still earn somewhat decent redemption rates for travel. So, yes points CAN be transferred, but for the former products. It's nothing to write home about, but today's WF CC line up doesn't offer any trifecta benefits such as those compared to Chase, AmEx or Citi ecosystems, for example.

Not as envisioned by the OP's first message. I mean, if the combination of those particular cards bring some value for some folks, then that's up to the individual to do their own math and see how they can leverage those particular products. Definitely not something that stacks up in similar fashion when compared to MRs, URs, or TYRs, for instance.

I think WF has come a long way from their prior vanilla cards and offering PC without closing accounts. However, without allowing transferring points and the outdated rewards system I think they still have a long way to go before competing with Chase/Amex/Citi.

Wasn't there a rumor that they'll debut a AF travel card, maybe it'll have that transfer pts function? Anyhow for cb loyalists, quite competitive imo

They already had an AF travel-related CC years ago, Propel World.

Whether WF decides to launch any other AF [travel] or competitive product is anyone's guess.

I've got 4 cards (Premier, Custom Cash, Double Cash, TYP Sears MC) dumping into a single TYP account with my Premier as primary.

I know from experience I can redeem all of them for cash at $0.01 valuation each.

The vast majority of my current TYP inventory were earned on my Sears card thanks to a continuous stream of bonus offers, and while I did not pull the final trigger it did let me set up to transfer the vast majority of my TYP (must be in multiples of 1,000) to a travel partner (Avianca).

The only caveat is that the TYP earned on the Sears card have a 3 year expiration - the TYP earned on the other cards never expire.

I have those cards, Propel, Primary etc. I do not use them any longer.

Now I need to cash out the points since they will expire in several months. Not a good system. The old points will expire according to the date they were earned. First In, First Out.

Let me know if this has changed.

If points can't be transfered, expiringand low redemption rates, those points are bad points. I value them just about 1 cpp. Sure I have a way to get more value. But it is very limited.

Can you show a screenshot to show the expiration? I'm not sure if this is correct.
