Well the way that section is worded is head spinning. By amount charged is that subtotal amount before tax or the total amount counting sales tax?

I'm new to Amex and when I was reading the terms and conditions of an Amex offer it listed the following below. The offer was spend $50 get $10 back as a statement credit. The total I spent was $57.38 so based on the way the below language reads do I not get the statement credit? After the statement credit the total will be $47.38. Does this offer mean I really need to spend $60 to get it or is it saying I only earn cash back on the $47.38 rather than the full amount I paid?

Any benefit earned from this offer is in addition to the rewards (i.e. Membership Rewards or cash back) earned as part of your existing Card benefits, but your ability to earn spend-based rewards for the purchase will be based on the amount after any statement credit or other discount is applied.

No need to overcomplicate this or make it harder than it needs to be. If the amount charged is at least $50, you will see a $10 credit.

you are making this very difficult...amex in 99% of cases (most don't have L3 reporting) sees one #, the total amount charged...that's including tax.

By amount charged is that subtotal amount before tax or the total amount counting sales tax? Total amount counting sales tax

Do I earn cash back on the entire amount i charged? Yes

Some of the offers can post within a few days, others can take up to a week, while others won't post until a statement cycles. When selecting an offer, carefully read the disclosure of the expected timeframe for when you can expect to see it on your account.

Using a quick example of one of several offers I've used...say on BCE for Disney+, the merchant posted the charge on 10/27 and AmEx posted the credit on Nov 1.

I'm aware of the reward you're speaking of. It's a simple reward... Spend $50, get $10 back regardless how much your purchases are. It's a rolling figure that you don't have to worry about once you add it to the card. IIRC they give you 2 credits with a total % equalling $20 max.

Just add it to the card, and it'll come off your overall balance, not a monthly statement credit.
