Hello

Just bought a house and need some upgraded appliances and furniture. I really need a 0% apr intro hopefully 15+ months.

I would have done Best Buy but already have it so I don't get the 0% intro.
Anyone have any ideas that might get me approved for 5k plus with mid 600 scores?
I paid off 2 of my cards, one hasn't updated yet so that may push them to high 600s.

I was thinking about another cap1 but they had always given me low limits and took years to get one just to 4k. I just paid one of them off with them so wondering if they'd be nice and give me a decent limit if I were to call back door and ask.

Any suggestions?

How about trying for the 0% promotion at the appliance store and at the furniture store? We did that at Pacific Sales when we redid the appliances in our kitchen and at Mor when we refurnished the master bedroom. I forget the 0% promo periods but they were long!

Otherwise check out Union Bank. 0% for 15 months on BTs and purchases. No BT fee.

https://www.unionbank.com/personal/credit-cards/platinum-visa

Home Depot often has 0% for 24 months with their card if you spend over a certain amount. I think the last time it was for anything over $999, which shouldn't be hard to do if you're buying all new appliances.

A lot of furniture stores have 0% offers too, just be careful about paying it off on time.

Citi Custom Cash has 15 months 0% intro at the moment. Discover It also has 15 months. Between the two, I think that Discover has historically given higher limits. They gave me $10,000 when my score was like 699 or 701 I think, but that was in like 2017 so I don't know if that's a good data point right now.

Edit: Just noticed that you already have Discover. There's also Wells Fargo Reflect that has 18 months 0%. You might have to hunt around on the credit pulls data base to find what approvals are going for in your credit score range though.

Try the Lowes pre qualify tool. They are having 0% promotions on appliance and they can go from 6-12-24 months when you spend over a certain amount. Love my Lowes card😊

I probably wouldn't go the store card route unless you've got a larger project with them to finance.

Getting a regular 0% credit card will get you cash back/rewards that you can put to use. There are some exceptions to this. I have a Lowe's Business Card with a statement credits and 5% cash back the first 3,000 spent. I'm always a fan of building a purchase around an SUB. If whatever I buy runs me past the SUB I don't get it or try to app for another card to place it on.

Ideally stack 0% APR debt with loans on a checking line of credit to keep your overall monthly payments down.
