Navy Fed Cash Rewards Apple Pay before card arrives?

Got approved for a Navy Federal cash rewards credit card. I was curious if I was able to start using the account before the card arrives by putting it in my Apple Pay like I did with my American Express card. I called and they said some accounts were possible to do that later and I would get that information by email within 24 hours. It's been longer than that now, and I have gotten no information. Just wondering if other people of had the ability to do that with Navy Federal credit cards or if I need to eait until the card arrives.

Update. Its possible with some, but because I used a promotional offer I wasnt eligible for the digital card so I gotta wait for the physical ard which was expedited.
