Part of me was hoping that some of these systems might not really be "preapproved offer"s (and instead just be promo codes) even though they are often advertised that way.

It's a small thing, but I've been a bit on the fence for this card for awhile now. $100 would likely be enough to push me to the side of getting it (as petty as that may sound).

I don't really get credit card offers in the mail (simply for the fact that I've opted out of receiving them, for the most part). My partner, on the other hand, gets them from all over the place.

I had been eyeing the Bread Cashback card (primarily because I wouldn't mind having another brand in my wallet and also having access to early entertainment ticket sales), but have never seen a SUB available to the general public. Well, just recently my partner received a Bread Cashback offer (the usual $100 for spending xyz amount). I don't think they'll use it anytime soon, but is there any chance I could?

Unfortunately, no. Info they have on file wont match

Why don't you just apply if you think this card would work for you?

Offer is matched to a name and it's not a guarantee one will be approved.

No offer doesn't mean no approval, so if you feel like it, go for it

WF Active Cash is also 2%, but with $200 SUB and lengthy 0% if you need it.
