AU Account still NOT reporting with Equifax...can I do anything about this?

It's been a few weeks since the AU account was picked up by EX and TU. EQ still has not included this account...

I did send a fax to EQ asking them to report it, but no response.

Any suggestions for getting EQ to report the account? Can I even do anything?

EQ is slow about adding new accounts. When I here creditors say it may take up to 90 days for CRAs to update its file, I think about EQ. They are soooo slow.

If the creditor has reported its not much you can do but wait for EQ to update its file.

Thanks DI - I see they are on The Short bus...they keep changing my address back to my former address...i check EQ realtime daily..

we'll see how long it takes for the new nordstrom accoutn to report...

EX picked it up already.

TU and EX added 3 of my new accounts. EQ none.

DI - just got an alert from goldwatch EQ (i spend way too much money on this stuff) - EQ did pick up the new nordstrom account. SW will be three days behind this...

What are your credit goals? What's the purpose for ordering SW?

Hi DI - Generally, I want to clean up my credit and start to infiltrate good TL's to offset the bads, have two paid CO's with two CC's and negative dell late payments...my AAoA is about 7.5 years so I did the math, even with a few new cards and a loan, i'll still be at 6 years...I did an entire spreadsheet on t his to figure it out...for each report...

I need to get another car in December as well, but with my score right now, today, EQ is at 665 and TU Fico is 657, I am pretty convinced I will need to get a cosigner to get the best rate. Even though in December I will have two paid auto's never late showing, I just don't believe I am going to get the very best rate.. those are my short term goals.

Long term goal is to have above 720 credit score with no derogs. this could happen but it won't until 2014..........

thanks for the encouragement DI. I appreciate it. When I started this repair in April my EQ fico was 548....now at 665, but a lot really has changed on my report to get that kind of increase....like toyota charged me off for last payment but i fixed that i got reported as paid, never late, closed. the dealer didn't pay off the entire balance of my loan! one bad TL dropped from a scum bank i did business with; no collections and paying everything down and on time helped..

In 2004 fresh from REPO and numerous lates and CO's, I was sitting at EQ 544. Fast forward 5 yrs later, and you see where my scores are now. If I can do it any body can!!

Knowledge is key too. Had I known about my financial impact and scores, I would have taken care of them a little bit better!

you did a great job!

I known about the impact of credit scores. I was a broke college student with over extended credit lines. I needed the credit to keep me afloat. Good job didn't come until 6 months after graduation so creditors were getting paid slow...too slow at times and not enough. I'm glad those days are over.

FYI:

In order to materially benefit a FICO score, prior installment loans should have at least a two year history of on time payments. There should also be a minimum of two such installment loans in file. The two paid auto loans might do more for you than you think.

Getting the best rate however has more to do with where and how you seek the loan.

Spend a lot of time HERE between now and December. You will save a lot of money.

Checking other auto finance forums may help a lot also.

Hint / Warning:

Both new & used care dealers will lie and say that your credit scores are lower than they really are. Since you can't usually buy the Auto Enhanced Scores, you never really know how good or bad your auto score really is.

thanks for that info. yes my ford will be jpaid off in two more payments, never late, 40 months and toyota is paid as well. toy before ford. never late.

depends where i go to shop i guess...a friend of mine who works at a dealership offered me invoice price for new car and $500 over for used.

i can only think that FICO enhanced would HELP me, not hurt me. never late on my autos. i'm religious about that and always have been...THe mercedes dealership i want to visit does not use enhanced scores.... if i have to get a co signer, i will...

off to peruse the auto loans!
