Amex credit limit increase

Soft pull or hard pull? I searched the archives and found an old post where the majority said soft with a few saying hard. I did a Google search and a well known company said its a hard pull. Just looking for others experience because i don't want to request one if it's a hard pull.

Almost always soft pull.

Has always been a soft pull for me too. All of my self initiated requests have been sp's.

The earliest to request a CLI is usually 91 days. You are way good at 5 years. Please report back upon your success.

I believe they start asking for hard pulls at like 35k, but you can hack it by doing limit transfers from a different card to a point.

No, the myth about $35k breakpoint refers to asking for income verification. Nothing to do with hard pulls.

Temporary insanity, apparently, but mostly SUB driven. I'll qualify my statement, however, by noting that two are biz (BBC, AMZN), one a charge (Gold), and one an AU (BCP). The two personal credit are BCE and Cash Magnet. I only was HP'd on the first app, Gold; I haven't checked but assume my P2 was HP'd on the BCP since it was her first AMEX.
