Cap 1 QS- Merge two cards ?

Just off the phone with Cap 1 in an attempt to merge my two QS cards. CSA says that's not a thing they do. I know they used to allow a merge as long as one account had a zero balance. Since that was a no go, I requested an APR decrease, no luck there either. Begining to think our relationship has run its course. Especially with much better cards in my arsenal these days. Cap 1 is my first card post BK and they let me back in after burning them withing 3 months of discharge. I never had to get their secured card. I recall how grateful I felt at the time and after treating these 2 cards like a newborn baby, I was rewarded with many CLI's. I think I'll just sock drawer them and maybe a tank of gas or two every now and then.

Cap 1 is indeed a strange bird, and difficult to figure out at times... I too have one that I've just given up on as they will just not show me any love no matter whether I spend a lot, or a little. Moving my focus onto other cards.

I had/have that same problem. Called to try to merge my QS and Savor cards but couldn't. Also, my CL's haven't moved for quite a while even though I started w/ a $1000 QS1 and upgraded to QS and now at $8K. Savor is stuck at $3K so i've moved to just using my Apple card instead of those 2 cards.

Yeah I just got back in with them with a $500 QS after burning them in my Ch 13.

Don't much care about this account... I'll use it and hope for a CLI. The long term goal is getting my Venture back.

My CL's went up very fast with them. Both QS began as QS-1 Upgraded and dropped the fee after the first year. I was swiping those cards like a madman , swipe - pay , swipe-pay and before I knew it, I'm at 10.5 and 11k CL within 2-3 yrs. That was 7 or 8 years ago and the love ended then. I did enjoy plenty of cash back so there's that. Still, after an almost 10 year, spotless relationship, I expected some love today.

The savor1 is a crazy good card right now. Something like 8 bonus categories.

One of my earliest cards after rebuild was QS that was upgraded from Platinum and CLI to $14.5K (before bucketing era) I tried PC it to Savor but only Venture was available and I already had one with lower AF.

Few months ago got a letter from Cap1 to "use it or lose it"! Given 1.5% in obsolete now, sadly had to cancel the QS after another fail attempt to product change to Savor.

Good to know. Expecting the same outcome but I'll give it a shot this evening. My expectations are low anyway

That's good to know that I'm not the only one waiting on some love from Capital One. My CL has stagnated despite regularly using the card and paying it in full for nine years.

Wow. So there's a pattern here. If they don't let me PC when I call them this evening, they will reside in the sock drawer and only come out every so often at the gas station.

That was very helpful. Thank you ! Although my only options to upgrade were either of the two Venture cards which I'm not intereted in. I'll check checking it from time to time. Thanks again !

The issue is QS can not be PCed to anything but Venture/Venture one. Venture has AF and Venture One is a downgrade compare to QS.

They still not allowing QS to Savor products witch is a bummer for many! Therefore this makes the QS useless for many that had the card for few years and past the rebuilding days.

I did hear that if you have a Visa QS that you can get the Venture X option if you have over a 10k CL. I have no experience with this and they no longer issue Visa versions of the QS. I have a Visa verson of the QS but I am dilusional and am working to try to get the CL over 10k LOL.

I found an image from the thread that I orignally saw the image of the VX upgrade option. I think it was from a Visa QS though.

It's pretty rare, but there are DPs of people getting a QS to SavorOne PC. Below is one of the more recent examples.

Actually that's no longer true. Though extremely rare, they ARE starting to offer PCs to Savor now.
