T-mobile dinning rewards and CB dinning cards

So it is Tuesday and I was looking at my t-mobile Tuesday perks and saw they have a new dinning rewards 5% cashback 10% on tuesdays "linked card required" with a 4-5% dinning card which I have this would effectively be 9-10% back on dinning and 14-15% on Tuesdays.

Has anyone actually tried this? Does it actually work out that way? Or does the T-mobile rewards change the transaction code? Are the participating restaurants actually somewhere worth going?

I saw that today too. If you click on it, it takes you to the website tmobilediningrewards.com and there is doesn't mention 10% back on Tuesdays but, along with 5%, it mentions a $10 bonus cash back for joining. Looks like another app to load. I may try it out. Curious how T-Mobile has control over how much cash back your credit card gives you?

I heard that T-Mobile is trying to have all the time offers, not just Tuesday or Tuesday through Monday offers. I also see a running offer for free Crazy Bread with Little C. pizza purchase.

@ptatohed Yea I knew it was another app/service, just like the John Wick ticket Offer...

I was wondering about that the cashback as well and forgot to ask possibly it is a t-mobile account credit or more than likely credits from the new service it seems like most of the T-mobile perks have some hidden this is going to cost you later catch to them.

Ultimately I just didn't want to sign up for another app service that spams my email and I end up with some ditigal coupon to Morton's, and some roach infested taco truck 20 miles away.

I followed that link… it is the very same rewardsnetwork.com used by Alaska airlines, among others. Signing up for email jumps the miles from 1x to 3x per dollar, however it is possible to turn off emails and still receive the 1x.

When you link a card, you authorize them to receive your card transactions and match them to their participating restaurant partners. The matching appears to by merchant and entirely by rewardsnetwork.com through that transaction feed.

As of now, I have one card linked to the Alaska rewards program. The TMo rewards appear better, at least in cash back rewards, but I am trying to build up Alaska miles at present.

With Alaska they have a partner agreement, in this case the partner is T-mobile?

Yes, TMo is a partner and have their logo featured on the rewardsnetwork.com website (I just checked).

From the "agreement" I had to click through, and from the FAQ on the website, it would appear that they receive a transaction feed from the payment processor (most of them, at least).

Whilst I have no experience with the cash back process, I can verify that with Alaska, the miles earned report on the regular Alaska mileage plan account page.

/edit so signed up there are a few places I eat listed within 30 miles. There is no action on your part just use the linked card. They read your transactions and when you get 10 bucks worth of cashback they send the linked card a credit. Not super happy they are data mining your transactions, but I also don't care they see how often I get smokes at 711 and breakfast at Burger King.

list of discounts looks very similar to Affinity's "ampre" program only limited to restaurants.

Only other thing of note is they do not accept discover cards so I can't use my quarterly 5% on it, but hey 9% cb is not half bad.
