Best CC for Broadway/Entertainment?

I was planning out a few concerts and maybe some Broadway shows next year in NY until I realized that I don't have a card that covers that category...

Are there cards out there that cater to this? I know there's the savor one, but that's only 1% more than the Paypal MC & my other cards cover the other categories better.

The Elan Max Cash Preferred has selectable 5% categories and includes "Entertainment". The examples it lists under that include movies, amusement parks, sports, and performances like TicketMaster and Stubhub. I presume a Broadway show would count.

My experience is mostly with non-profit venues and a lot of those code as "charitable organizations" rather than "entertainment". I don't bother with a category card there.

I, for the most part, agree with @wasCB14. I would probably not get a dedicated card for entertainment unless such spending would be ongoing and regular. However, another option would be the Citi Custom Cash (relevant content copied from the website and pasted below), which you could switch for the months you would be attending a concert or show and then move it back to your regular 5% category.

LIVE ENTERTAINMENT

Includes ticket purchases for live entertainment, including: concerts, live sporting events, live theatrical productions, amusement parks, and orchestras. Excludes: charitable organizations that provide live entertainment (benefits), sporting camps, sports complexes where you participate in the sport, public and private golf courses, country clubs (including membership fees), bowling alleys, movie theaters, tourist attractions, museums and art galleries.

Well now I feel silly going for Cash+ now. The Max Cash Preferred covers the same thing but includes a broader entertainment category that I currently have selected anyway...

Guess it's the next card to aim for.

The CCC is a decent option, but they've already rejected me for generic reasons. If I'm going to wait 12 months for the Altitude Go, I might as well snag the max cash preferred to reduce pressure on the Cash+

For DP they pulled EQ in FL, EQ:716 from increased moving debt. Honestly, was very surprised I was able to sneak that in

Congrats on the approval.

It struck me that rewards are not the only consideration, though. Some issuers have presale tickets. Back when a Hamilton ticket could resell for $1,000 (rather than sit unsold at $50) some people got tickets through Amex. I think the Centurion customers bought them all up before anyone else got a chance, though.

Some issuers have private concerts, but last I looked they weren't exactly hard-to-book artists. James Taylor still does a lot of concerts, NYCB still performs ballet for the general public, etc.
