Changes to Chase Amazon Prime Visa?

Got this in an email from Chase:

Does anyone have insights or educated guesses on what the changes might be? I am guessing a boost to the existing 2% dining/gas categories, or maybe adding groceries as a category since they are running a 5% promo this quarter for some users.

@Hansolojr I doubt it will be groceries. You can already get that from Whole Foods Markets (Amazon owned). There is another way I think you can get groceries and get 5%.

Well this quarter i'm getting some special bonus awards, so maybe it's something like that. This quarter I'm getting 5% cash back on gas, internet, cable, and phone, and 3% on groceries

I got 10% CB on gas with my Chase amazon last quarter, nothing this quarter.

You can also buy gift cards with the card for your grocer of choice (provided they are sold on Amazon anyway).

as someone with a suffix in their last name, really annoying that i can't just login to my account and see whatever bonuses are available lol

regarding the changes, i know prime users got a year free of grubhub+, but i don't remember if that was related to having this card...hopefully it's something nice and not an annual fee

So it appear that the update may have taken effect. Has anyone else noticed that the design has been adjusted on the Chase Portal?

Yea they added 2% cash back on transit and commute expenses, and 5% on Chase travel. Now with daily point redemptions. Probably does not move the needle for the 5% peeps on MF.

More is always nice but this card will still stay in the file cabinet and I will only use it for online amazon orders. I am interested in this 10% Prime Card Bonus, hmm.....

I received this email a few days ago. They have changed the way the card looked. I ordered the new card since my card started to split between plastic and metal. The new card looks better.

LOL! Touche M_S. Absolutely not! It would come out then. But I have not seen that kind of affection since Q4 '22. I do hope it comes back, even if only every once in a while.

However, with that said, for both quarters of '23 so far, I have 5% back on gas + 10% statement credit for gas (and grocery and dining) spend on my SYW card that would actually have me say no to the amazon 10% gas, if available. Now that would be a first world problem!

Is it still a metal/plastic blend or is it all plastic now? From the images, the new design looks kind of muted, more so than the old one.

It's in my phone, so either via app (ExxonMobil) or just mobile pay, it can stay S/D! Not that I have that offer....
