topic Chase Freedom Rise question? in Credit Cards

I am wondering what is the likely hood of getting approvaled for Chase Freedom Rise with 6 month of credit history? I read supposedly if you start a checking account with them with $250 it would increase the likelyhood of getting accepted.

My current card:

Capital one QuickSilver $1,100 - Feburary 2023

Capital One Savor One $2,000 - August 2023

Experian Score: 706 Fico 8

I do not have a check on chase checking. Like i read, starting a checking account and adding $250 to checking account improve the odd but isn't there some kind of monthly checking account fee if it is less than $1,500?

I would wait for march 2024 and apply for a freedom flex/freedom unlimited if I were you

what are the balances you're reporting on your cards, 706 seems low

try to get any balances paid down prior to applying when you end up applying

Well, consider i was just approvaled for Savor one last week, naturally my score dropped 20 ish. I guess I find it slightly annoying that I would have to keep using my quicksilver to get costco shop for the next 6 month and hard to predict how much cash card i need to buy before going to monthly costco trip. Like the other day i have $200 worth of cash card and then up spending 250 ish so i have to swip my mastercard debit card as well with no cashback. Anyhow if i want to try to go for chase card in 6 month, i should start building a somehat relationship with them first with checking account? Does that mean i would have to keep $1,500 lock up in the checking account to avoid the fee?

Need more history. Chase isnt relationship based. For the big money folks. Possibly. I was with them for yrs. Everyting I have was with them. Still no CC after 7ys since BK. I left for Early PayDay at WF. And got the Active Cash same day when opening accounts.

I wouldn't concern myself with trying to build a banking relationship with Chase. There are numerous people who have little to no banking relationship with them and Chase has been generous with them (myself included). There are others with long, and significant banking histories and still can't get approvals for certain cards. They are going to focus more on your credit history and scores (with EX and TU) over any banking relationship you may be able to have with them. Your EX score is good enough for an approval, however, your short credit history would likely be an issue. I would forget the checking account for now and focus on keeping the credit you have in good standing, and allow time to do its thing.
