Penfed offer expedite shipping for Credit Cards?

Hi guys,

Just curious, but does Penfed offer expedite shipping when your approved for a Credit Card when the app. is filled out online? I had a main in pre-approval offer with a offer code, and went that route, but when my card was shipped out, they said for first time credit cards they do not offer expedite shipping.

So, those of you who have multiple Penfed cards, can you get expedite shipping after your first card?

Not that I am aware of. I use them as primary FI as well as have a few CC's with them. I think I have once got them to expedite a new debit card when once compromised at an ATM.

Ahh yes, your right. The rep did mention that, that debit card is the only card that they will expedite.

another question: how long did it take for you guys to get your cards from PenFed? I know PenFed said it could take between 7 to 10 business days, but I've read some posts here that it took even longer than that. Hell, I did not even know. I was approved for my credit card application until I called last Thursday morning to inquire about it, and the rep told me that "oh your card was shipped out last night (Wednesday August 16th), so...congrats, your approved!". The congratulatory email, like everyone else got, lol. But I was grateful and thanked her. Anyways, since it was shipped Wednesday night, can I expect it sometime at the earliest this Thursday or Friday, but most likely next week?

For my DW, It took every bit of 10 business days.

Dang, 10 business days. Oh well, I guess it's not a big deal. I did want to use it immediately for some thing, but it's no biggie. I'll keep everyone informed when I get mine. Or I guess I'll create a new thread in the approval, section to make it official, lol.

When it comes to cards the meaning of shipped can be all over the place. Usually it means that they sent the order to the printers that put the cards together. The printing company still has to grab a blank smart card, program the chip, apply a mag stripe, magnetize the stripe, print the card design on with numbers, and lastly apply stickers exclusive to the network. This is why it takes 7-14 days. Normally if they had a small model of the printer machine at the branch for instant issue making a single card will still take 5min. Also be aware that the USPS also has expanded the first class delivery time to the point that it is now up to 14 days with no guarantee anyway.

I just got my new card today. Shipping wasn't bad, took about a week exactly. It's all good!
