PC Cash+ or Altitude Go to Altitude Reserve

Is it feasible to PC Cash+ (or Altitude Go) to Altitude Reserve?

Does it require having a checking account with US Bank?

PS: Both cards are more than 1 year old.

Just the bolded part: No, AR originally required a "relationship" but a credit card with them was fine. Then they dropped the relationship requirement anyway.

Don't know about PC in this case.

If (big if) I was going to get a card with a $400 AF, I would not want to lose out on the $500 - $750 intro bonus!

Unlike some others, the $325 AF credit on this card is actually easy! Dining and travel (although narrower version of travel than CSR) count, so for many, the effective AF really is $75.

Since I am 4/24, I was thinking that I might need one Chase card . Anyway, I may go directly for an application for AR instead of PC and wait for another half a year to become 4/24 again.

Is there any limitation on the maximum number of US Banks that a person can have? I have 3 main US Bank cards (2x Cash+, 1x Altitude Go) and 1 co-branded card (Ralphs).

I've read plenty of posts on other sites where people shared that they received the SUB after doing a PC with US Bank -- particularly PC'ing to the AR.

When you call if they say you can product change to that card you will still receive the Bonus. I just product change the Cash Plus to the Reserve on Aug 20 th and I received my bonus this week.

Sounds quite interesting. I have 2x Cash+ cards and I barely use them, due to their sparse coverages of the categories.

If I succeed to PC my Cash+, does the card get convereted immediately to AR? Or shall I wait to receive the AR card at home by snail mail (~3-4 weeks) and afterward, start to put some spends on it to be able to get the SUB?

Here is one paragraph from US Bank, regarding the $325 credit: "The purchases made directly from a merchant that classifies itself as travel (such as airlines, hotels, car rentals, taxicabs, limousines, passenger trains and cruise line companies) and any merchant classified as a restaurant, fast-food restaurant or bar. "

I guess, renting a car via Hertz would easily trigger it, which makes it quite interesting for rental cars (also it provides primary rental insurance coverage without paying any fee). It might cover also Uber and Lyft. How does a purchase via instacart would get coded by AR (it can be delivery of food, grocery or anything else)?

You will have to wait. You be issued a new Credit card number. I received in about 3 or 4 days...The app takes a while to switch over and doesn't totally convert for 45 days because that how long US Bank give in case you change your mind. I had big spend coming up so I hit the quick. Bonus will so in app as new card bonus.

Is this unique to US Bank (or rather, are their other issuers). For as long as I have been "credit aware" the mantra has been basically in the PC vs New App discussion: that the Pro of PC was no new account/HP/etc and the Con was that you lost the SUB (and any utilization decrease from a new line of credit)

The fact that US Bank is willing to give a SUB is pretty big IMO!

US Bank is the only one that I know of that does this. This huge that you can receive bonuses for multiple card with one HP and no effect on age of credit.

@Anonymous Amex often has "upgrade" incentives as well...many people play the PC game with their BCP/BCE
