AAA DAILY ADVANTAGE VISA Date Points & Feedback

Hi All,

I hope this post finds you well. Can anyone share with me their experience with the ?

How was the application process?

Which bureau did they pull?

Did they request documents during the application process?, etc.

Is the cash back redemption process simple?

Is there any category that will not get the 5% cash back?

They pull EQ VS4. They have no mobile app if that matters to you, and I know of at least one person(don't remember who) who reported on here an issue with not being able to redeem the cashback because it is applied as a statement credit and they pre-pay their statement balance, so they had to call in each month and do it manually.

The card appears to be much more sensitive to inquiries/new accounts than Commenity is typically known for.

It's not just EQ. They pull EX as well. It's about a 30/70 split on whether they'll decide to pull EX vs EQ.

I got the Travel Advantage version. Application was easy, approval was instant, they pulled EQ, their cash back redemption is simple (but I've had trouble with redeeming on the web site).

On the Daily Advantage card, 5% cash back only applies to groceries. Travel, dining, gas/ev, and AAA all get 3%. Everything else is 1%.

I got the Travel Advantage version. Application was easy, approval was instant, they pulled EQ, their cash back redemption is simple (but I've had trouble with redeeming on the web site).

On the Daily Advantage card, 5% cash back only applies to groceries. Travel, dining, gas/ev, and AAA all get 3%. Everything else is 1%.

I never went for the Daily Advantage. You're only allowed to have one or the other. DPs are the same for either card though.

@northway Thank you. Whenever I consider getting a card, I also kind in mind how easy/difficult it may be to get a credit limit increase.

My AAA VISA DPs:

I was instantly approved in October 2022 for the AAA Daily Advantwge. At the time, I was at 6/12 on both inquiries and new accounts. Scores were around 700 across the board.

They pulled EQ. I was 21 months post-CH 13 DC.

Immediately prior, I had been instantly approved for the Bread Amex.

I've only ever used the AAA to pay for my annual AAA renewal. I haven't gone for any CLIs. I like the card but I like some of my other cards better.

@Jeffster1 Thank you for your feedback and providing these details. I saw you mentioned Bread AMEX. I also saw that Bread is connected to this card. Is there a data point that supports how having another Bread product improves your chances of getting another one? I just want to make sure I don't overlook the connection you may be making or that exists.

Great question, @credit8502020 . In my case, I don't think my having a Bread Amex helped me in any way to get the AAA as I had literally JUST gotten the Bread card, and had yet to build any history with Comenity. I think it's important to add that, before these two cards, I had never had a Comenity card.

My initial approval for the Bread was $7K, and for the AAA $5K. I got a SP CLI of $1K on the Bread last month (I had never asked for one before) and I haven't really done anything with the AAA.

Great question, @credit8502020 . Is Comenity really pulling VS now?

This is new info for me if correct, since I was under the impression that the only major bank regularly using any flavor of VS was Synchrony.
