Finally Target increase

I have had my Target cc since 12/20, messily $300 limit. I tried updating my income monthly, didn't work, used the card hundreds every month, no increase. So I stopped using te the card in Jan. Received a notice this month to use the card or it will be closed? Quickly charged about $27 and paid the balance off the next day. Opened up account today saw messily $150 cli to $450? What gives? This card is worse than Cap 1with the clis , I guess it's better than nothing.

You're right, they are the worse with CLIs.

Congrats, but consider yourself lucky. I haven't gotten a CLI in over a decade.

While it is a 50% increase, in terms of real life usage, it is small.

I came here to post the same thing. I've been at $300 since I opened the card in 2021 and received an increase of $150 to $450 today...My scores are all in the low to mid 7's and because of the low limit I don't really use the card. I'm really considering closing it all together after I close on my house.....

I had the same issue with a regular target card 2k limit. I didn't charge for 6 months and they decreased to 1k. I closed it. Waited 9 months and applied again and got a 5 k Mastercard .

It is frustratingly comical that the same stinginess exhibited by Target National Bank...prior to the takeover of the card portfolio by TD...carries forward to this day. It is the main reason why I will never again carry a Target credit card. Instead, I use myTarget debit card which gives me the same 5% discount.
