(Possibly Useless?) Offer for Amex Delta SkyMiles Cardholders

Check your email for a message from Delta! [Name], Your Loyalty Deserves To Be Recognized.

The message is long, but here's the summary:

If you are the primary cardholder, first enroll in the offer, and then book an international trip for yourself in Main Cabin or higher costing at least $500 and paid with your Delta card (award fares and Miles + Cash do not count) no later than Friday night you could be eligible for a $100 Delta eCredit as long as you complete all travel on or before March 24th, do not fly to or from your destination between December 15th and January 10th, do not have any segments on a carrier other than Delta or Delta Connection, and no changes are made to your original reservation.

For $100 I might consider charging a flight to a Delta card rather than Amex Platinum, but (excluding the restrictive timing) the requirements of it being on Delta metal and with no changes are unlikely to happen. My next few trips are on Star Alliance airlines, but I have an upcoming one that Delta has changed no fewer than 7 times already, including dates, operating carriers, and routing. So even if I were to book something that matched the criteria, I don't have a lot of faith that Delta's not going to change me to a Virgin Atlantic flight a day earlier than my original departure on the way there and to Air France connecting in Detroit with an overnight layover instead of direct to Boston (again) that requires me to call and make changes.

Agree got it. Pretty lame hopefully that isn't Delta's answer for the nerfs to stop the bleeding as you know AMEX is on them about it as well about losing customers

Agree that Delta is probably trying to churn up some goodwill with AMEX & their customers after the recent Skyclubgate kerfluffle.

Not an amazing offer, but it's a still a hundred bucks. The fine print also states that the mid-Dec thru mid-Jan blackout window also applies, so no holiday travel.
