      <title>AMEX Product Change Question</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Are the only ways to do a product change by chat or phone (is there no way to do the change on the website)?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also, I assume the answer to this is no but if I product change am I eligible for any of the subs going on for that card? I'm wanting to change my Blue Cash Everyday to the Cash Magnet and am trying to make sure I do this in the most beneficial way.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I appreciate any help!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Everything up above is 100% correct. &amp;nbsp;If you had an upgrade offer (which would only be for BCP, which you already have), it would appear prominently on the account management page for that card (alternately by browsing to Cards -&amp;gt; View All Credit Cards while logged into the Amex website you can see upgrade offers). &amp;nbsp;Unless you have an upgrade offer, there is no way to do a product change without calling or chatting.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

In fact, my answer would have been that you don't need a phone call or chat, you could just click on one of the ubiquitous upgrade links of which American Express is so fond.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

They would never give you an offer to do anything &lt;EM&gt;but&lt;/EM&gt; upgrade to a card with an annual fee (or higher annual fee) when doing product changes, no matter the medium you use.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I doubt it, but I defer to your greater Amex knowledge. If you say it can be done by chat, so be it. In my experience, any time I've tried to do anything with them through chat which is not routine, I've been referred to a phone number.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;HR /&gt;</description>
