yes it does. I have made several purchases recently on eBay and all gave 3% cash back

If you use it through pay pal will it still give 3%?

Paypal generally carries the merchant category through the transaction.

Honorable mention: Paypal is a 5% category on Chase Freedom this quarter.

I've been using PayPal through my freedom flex for that reason but have almost maxed out the cap for that. I ask if amex blue cash everyday will still give the 3% when used through PayPal since purchases through 3rd party services are often excluded.
