Options for downgrading Chase Sapphire Reserve?

I currently have the Reserve and Unlimited, with wife an AU on Unlimited, and she has her own Unlimited (PC'd from a Reserve), we use the AU unlimited as a sort of "shared expense" catch all.

We're closing in on 750k points pooled. Plan is to eventually use those for a vacation. (Might just wait until we hit a million)

That said, I am really trying to pair down my AF's, so I am taking a look at options for the Reserve. Without getting into reasons to keep it or product change it (I'm still debating) I am more looking for advice/answers on the following, and anything else you think is important to know.

1. I know that UR points are worth more with the CSR. But as we will most likely be transferring to a partner like Hyatt, that doesn't really apply, correct?

Would it be plausible for your spouse to open CSP as a Plan B if for some reason you were not approved? (May even be a pre-approved offer in their Chase account.) Chase allows you to transfer UR points to one member of your household. (You may already be doing this in the opposite direction.)

If you want SUB churning you can do the Chase Ink Business cards as well.

You still need one of either the CSP, CSR or Chase Ink Preferred to transfer points.

The proper way to do it is pc to the Freedom Flex, wait at least 7 days(some wait 31 days), then apply for the CSP. 5/24 dependant as well. If you are denied for the CSP you can always call recon and get credit limit moved from one of the other cards for the CSP to be approved.
