Can I product change an Amex card after 2 months?

This is a little embarrassing but a couple of months ago I was pretty drunk and somehow got myself approved for an Amex Cash Magnet card. I think I was going through the different cards to see if I was still in popup jail (I was and still am) but instead of closing the popup window I must have accepted the offer because I woke up the next morning with an email congratulating me on my approval.

I already have a Gold and a BBP, each for about 6 months.

Well, I have some 2% catchall cards already and can't really use the Cash Magnet. I've read that I can product change to pretty much any other Amex personal cash-back card with no annual fee (I would have to wait a year before upgrading to an annual-fee card due to some law).

Everything I've read states that a person should wait at least 12 months before product changing because Amex can "claw back" the signup bonus. However, I didn't get a signup bonus for this card so there's nothing to claw back.

I'd like to switch this to a Blue Cash Everyday. Is this possible and, if so, should I give it a try even though this one has only been open a couple of months? Or would that flag my account in a bad way?

Update: from what I've read here and elsewhere it should be possible. One person went the other way after having the BCE for less than two months (BCE to CM). I'll wait until after my next statement posts and is paid (in early Jan) before trying, however.
