Nice Nusenda CU Mobile Wallet Promo Oct-Nov

Now that I'm almost exclusively using mobile wallet on the day-to-day, I like this one:

Make any 4 mobile wallet purchases each month, October and November
Get $75 for each month, for a total of $150 possible back in statement credit
No required minimum purchase amount
Can be either October or November or both
Given Q4's 5% on restaurants and retail stores, pretty easy to just do normal organic spend for the 4 purchases each month.

Pretty sweet, I've read the terms multiple times looking for a catch, don't see any. Thanks for the free 150 buckaroos Nusenda!

@PullingMeSoftly and @ptatohed, if you have made restaurant purchases with your Nusenda Platinum Cash Rewards card this quarter, have rewards posted correctly? Based on a quick review of the rewards portal, only the 1% base cash appears for my purchases this month at establishments that code as either "Food Eating Places, Restaurants" or "Food Fast Food Restaurants;" however, none of the bonus cash appears, and each entry's "adjustment" also shows 0.00. In previous quarters, I recall the bonus rewards posting at the same time as the base cash, but maybe I am misremembering.

Glad you mention this @qbdraw, as I just checked and I've also only received the base rewards so far as well. In the past, the full rewards would post fairly quickly, but some of my purchases have posted well over a week ago, hmmm. Sometimes with these credit unions, they may have some weird one-time delay, or may be switching to a different payout model, like Affinity FCU used to do after the end of a quarter.

Actually as I type this, I'm seeing no "promotional earnings" and no "adjusted" values above the base being posted for September or August, wt*?

Gonna look into this a bit more, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Wow, that's a little scary. Sorry guys, I have been using my citi SYW for 10% back (+ 3% points) for dining this quarter. So, nothing for me to check on my nusenda. I guess I can make one purchase for dining to check it out. I'll try to remember. I did make a small purchase at the Dollar Tree to see if that counted as 'Retail'. But if I check that and only see 1%, I won't know if it's because of the error or if Dollar Tree isn't retail, lol.

@qbdraw & @ptatohed Just FYI, my bonus spend has posted but with mixed results. My issue appears to be the super narrow definition they have for "restaurants" rather than any system issue. Since I haven't done any online or in-store retail with the card, I still can't say for sure if something's broken with the bonus awards. I can say that whatever codes they are including for restaurant spend, it's definitely not broad like the Citi CC and USB Alt. GO, those pick up anything I throw at 'em. Nusenda counted a small deli, but didn't count two independent restaurants in my area, both of which code correctly with Citi and USB. For now, I'm just gonna do the mobile spend for the promo credits and sockdrawer for a while after.

Just checked my rewards, and I'm at base points only for restaurants as well. I'll give it a few days, and see if it gets corrected. Until then, back to my Custom Cash.

I think the resutarant category is just not working for the Nusenda card unless someone has different data points. Secure Message support told me "The bonus rewards can take up to the end of your billing cycle to post", and phone support transferred me to ScoreCard rewards and that call went nowhere...

Ok, it's 1am (PST) after a loooooong work week Friday night and I might have put down 1 or 2+, but how the heck do I check to see if I got 1% or 5% CB on a purchase??? :confused:

I log into the Nusenda site, and go into my card, and then there are two tab, "Transactions," and "Details & Settings."

Further down, Click to Redeem your rewards.

Now that'll take you to the rewards site. Top right, on into Account, Transactions...

You'll see posted transactions, base and bonus cash.

Thanks CC. I am using a desktop and I do have the 'Details & Settings' but I still don't see any specifics about the % CB I earned on any one transaction.

Actually Redeem Card Rewards is the penultimate step. The last step is to click the face icon to see your transactions. (The last step took me a while to find the first few times.)

DSW didn't trigger as retail for me. If that isn't retail, I don't really know what is.

I remember from last year that dining is very narrow. Pubs, bars, coffee houses, convenience stores etc don't count. I've been primarily using Altitude GO which covers almost everything.

I didn't get the offer either.

Thanks guys, I'll try again tonight. I do think I clicked Redeem Card Rewards but all I saw was my rewards balance. It was $147 (doh) so I grabbed $100.

I'll look for the 'face icon' tonight.

Thank you all for checking your rewards status. After contacting Nusenda support, the credit union confirmed an issue that it is investigating with the vendor for the rewards website. It appears that restaurant and other category charges for this quarter will receive 5% rewards as advertised. I will follow-up as I learn more from Nusenda and what I see in the rewards site.

@qbdraw Thanks for this info and making contact with Nusenda about it, I'm hoping they get it sorted. For now, I'm SD'ing the card (aside from the promo mobile wallet purchases) as I don't have much confidence in them at the moment. That's one of the big downsides of these credit union cards; results can vary, including when you're not paying much attention to it and realizing the problem later on. Makes my Alt. GO and Citi CC look like champs.

Ok, I think I finally got it? I had no idea what a 'face icon' was but, after I clicked 'Redeem Card Rewards' and it opened a second window, I then clicked 'Account' (the "Face Icon"?) at the top right, then clicked 'Transactions' (left side) and I got the below screen. Looks like the dining gives 5% this quarter but the Dollar Tree did not count as Retail. Like CL-A said, then what does? Boo!
