I just saw that they change the terms and condition they used to give you more for 5% grocery now it's limited for $500 which is a joke? since when they changed it

was waiting for the new calendar year to maximize it again.

Offer is exclusive to AAA Daily Advantage Visa Signature® Credit Card holders enrolled in the AAA Daily Advantage program. For offers associated with a specific category, earnings will only be awarded if the merchant code for the purchase matches a category eligible for the offer. Each merchant is assigned a code by a third party that indicates the merchant’s area of business. Comenity Capital Bank does not have the ability to control assignment of merchant codes. Maximum of $500 USD cash back earned in a calendar year at grocery stores

I don't know if that's so terrible. That would be $10k spend.

$833 a month would be easy to exceed for a family of 3+. It does suck if that card were previously uncapped but that's a sign of the times, sadly.

Yes but not just recent times. When the Blue Cash Preferred first came out, around 2012, it was an uncapped 6% on groceries. Given that a number of large grocery chains also sell Visa/MC/Amex gift cards, this turned out to be a mistake, and after a year, the $6K cap was placed.

And when we, I mean they, moved on to the Blue Cash (aka OBC), even though that had a threshold to start earning 5%, they placed a $50K annual cap on that around 2015.

Uncapped groceries is rarely a good idea for an issuer! We still have that with Chase Amazon at Whole Foods (5%), and on things like US Bank Altitude Reserve at supermarkets that take mobile pay (4.5% redeemed for travel) but those cards are of sufficient intrinsic value that it's not worth taking the risk by abusing (so a friend says)

I'm pretty sure that it's always had the 10k spend cap.

If you are an AAA member, does that mean you are enrolled in this program, or is there something else that needs to be done?

I could be wrong but I think it's just another way of saying "in good standing".

I wondered about that language also, but I believe that you can apply for this card without even being an AAA Member so it may not really mean anything?

I agree with @ptatohed and @pizzadude that it doesn't mean anything. If you have the card you're in the program. I'm told that you don't even need to be an AAA member to get the card.
