Chase Freedom Unlimited PCed to Freedom Visa

I've been looking to add some 5% rotator cards since I've been gardening for 1 year. Ran into a post about PCing to chase cards to the Freedom Visa and that it requires a $5000 or more CL to work. I rarely use the CFU and have exactly $5000 CL on it, so figured it's worth a try.

Called the number on the back and mentioned that I wanted to PC to the freedom visa card. The representative confirmed that it was possible and went over the terms for PCing and the new cards. The whole call was smooth and only took 5 minutes.

After the call, I have not received any emails yet. The card image changed immediately in the mobile app, but the benefit section is not updated.

I don't know the who or what was behind the claim that you read about the $5K mininum but I've never heard of that one before, only that it's the mininum threshold for the card to be issued as a Visa Signature or if you wanted to PC to a Sapphire Preferred.

You note that there are counter-examples in that thread, someone switching at under $3k. I think the original post there was probably just conflating things, this time the CL was $5K and this time they got approved therefore...., when it could be something else. And yes, someone claims to be told that by a CSR but if you hang around here at all long, you will know that CSRs aren't always reliable.

Are you saying you PCed to the OG Chase freedom Visa? And not the freedom Flex MC?

The card benefits & rest of the card info just updated on app/website today, ~3 days after the PC. I can activate the 5% earning now.
