AMEX lounge access. Must have the physical card.

Don't know if this was mentioned before. I was recently on a trip to New York with a layover in Atlanta. They denied me access to the Lounge because I did not have the physical platinum card with me. I had it on my app and in the apple wallet, but no go. I just didn't want to carry the physical card on this trip.

Kind of a bummer, but it was something I didn't know and I though I would pas along.

You don't need the card. Go to app on phone and under membership is airport lounge access and pull up the lounge and you get a QR code for entry.

I have card in iPhone wallet also, so you don't need the card for access, just have the Amex app and you are all set.

Too bad they didn't tell you, pretty poor service at the desk.

Nope, the Travler's Cheques were 'Don't leave home without them'. It was later changed to 'it' for their cards.

Talk to customer service about it! As much as we spend yearly on this card, there's simply no excuse whatsoever for such messed-up service. As it's included in your AF, I would think and hope that they could compensate you somehow. You literally lost both time and money over this, you should absolutely complain just over principle!
