New Wells Fargo Attune World Elite MC - 4% uncapped on fitness/rec/EV and others

Maybe WF looked at what the 3-5% cards are offering and decided to "take the other side"?

Its the perfect car for a very small subset of people that live in places like New York or San Francisco.

Also has a 3% FTF

EDIT: Hold up TCGPlayer is listed in the create and collect category. My fellow cardboard crack addicts(Magic, Yugioh, pokemon) now have a card.

WF dislikes my profile. Too much available credit, don't carry balances, too high of scores. Know they won't make a penny off of me. I do like using them yearly for their checking bonus though.

Well, sounds like this could be FotM card. Assuming most MyFico members are like me, spending about $500 a week (excluding "tips") in massage parlors, that's a pretty decent card.

Those categories are honestely pretty broad. Unlimited 4% could be a total powerhouse in the right hands. I'd be down for converting my useless Cash Wise to this, but alas, I can't do that 😢... yet anyway.

I notice bookstores are included as one of the qualifying categories and no mention of excluding Amazon 🤔.

You know that Wells Fargo has done their homework when MyFICO members are strategizing how they'll use their new card. 😂

For people who spend a lot on entertainment, this looks like a much better deal than either Savor or SavorOne. Its entertainment categories are very broad, including concerts, movies, streaming, sports, museums, zoos, amusement parks and even musical instruments. And don't forget people who spend heavily on fitness: sporting goods, gym memberships and even bike shops are covered. (I really could have used this when I bought my ebike a couple years ago, both for the 4% back and the 0% financing.)

Maybe I'm cynical, but I can't help but wonder if the $50 donation Wells Fargo will give to charity each time the SUB is hit is a creative way for them to have a successful launch while also making good on one of their many legal settlements.

Even though the $100 SUB is pretty low and their marketing message seems to be a little all over the place (it's a wellness-entertainment-recreation-fitness card with bright happy colors!), the 4% cash back categories are very intriguing - and this could be a big hit with people who take a close look at those benefits.

Expanding the Sports, Recreation, and Entertainment categories shows that pet care is a covered category. So is Etsy. Very interesting.

That fintech card seems to have had a small but dedicated following that wasn't big enough to save it. It might have been profitable (or at least a valuable loss leader) in the hands of a larger bank

This card is so odd. It's nice to have such broad categories, but it's like the Jackson Pollock of categories. So all over the place, it'll take a year or more to figure out what really does and doesn't qualify for 4% CB.

Someone will need to create an enormous spreadsheet of categories and merchants.

I wish I knew this card was coming, or else I wouldn't have opened 3 new cards in the last 3 months.

2 of them haven't reported to the bureaus yet though.

I looked in more detail at all the categories (and even managed not to laugh at fortune tellers, another big bucks item for me) and I am impressed. And using my precognition skills I interpreted the bolded bit differently than @DoppelgangerD probably intended. While Wells Fargo obviously has data today as to how much is charged in each category, they don't know how the 4% on this card will drive behaviour. So my guess is that eventually there will be some nerfing, with categories getting removed or perhaps reduced/capped. This is what happened to the original Cash +, with uncapped 5% in some categories that were unsustainable.

Or, and this seems pretty reasonable, WF might be hoping a number of young active people (who as an old old man I despise) might start using this card as their main/only credit card. After all they will get 4% on a lot of purchases, and is it really worth bothering on getting and remembering to use other cards for boring things like dining/gas/groceries

Oh, and I bet you can get Visa/MC gift cards at some of these stores...
