      <description>&lt;P&gt;Paid a vendor for an item through Venmo. Vendor got their Venmo account restricted.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Today,&amp;nbsp; after quite a few weeks, the merchant informed me that Venmo has closed their account and Venmo is holding all funds for 180 days and they won't deliver the order until they get the funds.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Do I dispute it as fraud or merchandise not received? Does the reason for dispute have any impact on the chargeback outcome? Will I get credited for the interest accrued up until now?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I was asking how to go about it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The reason I included the bit that the vendor didn't get the funds is because the vendor says that they can’t deliver the item unless they get the funds. And they are unable to issue a refund if I want to cancel.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This leaves me with 2 possible ways to dispute the charge. Either 'goods not received' or 'fraud' since I suspect that this may be the case here.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As far as it concerns me, is there any difference between either one? Does the reason for dispute have any impact on the chargeback outcome? Will I get credited for the interest accrued up until now?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Why did you not pay by CC, ACH or check?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You may try to dispute it by Venmo to release your fund ASAP and pay the vendor by other methods. I guess, you would be at the mercy of Venmo to release your money in a timely manner.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Never count on Venmo or PP, if you want to setup or make a business. There are several examples over internet that they blocked a business account for several months and created thousands of dollars of damages.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The OP's best bet would be talking to Venmo to cancel his transaction (or dispute) and ask for a refund. If the discussions would not go anywhere due to their possible illogical internal regulations, a CFPB complaint might help to get back the money in a few days.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
