Langley FCU -Platinum Signature Cash Back

I have not seen much on Langley recently. I am considering this card. I have a few questions

1) How is customer service?

2) I presume the 5% catagories change quarterly. Do all the catagories change just a few?

3) How are the starting credit limits? Any auto CLI's ?

4) Anything Langely is sensitive about credit or Chex Systems wise?

Any help or guidance would be appreciated. I am looking for a credit union that has 5% cash back rotating catagoires. Not interested in banks.

A. My starting SL was $10K. I have not requested a CLI, but I did get an AUTO CLI of $1K one year.

A. I highly recommend this card. Many times the monthly categories to choose from are stuff you are going to use (Gas, Dining etc.). They also have something called CashBack+ I believe its called. Long Story short, its basically buying Gift Cards to popular retailers and sometimes the discounts are like 10%, 15%, so on. And they money saved is automatically put into your CB account which youcan move to your savings or checking if you have one once you hace accumuled $15.

I hope you go for this card, you will no be disappointed if you get it.

It's a great card @AndySoCal, especially for those who want to fill some gaps in a 5% setup. You get a choice of 3 monthly categories that will typically include one or two of the big three (gas, groceries, or dining) and another handy category like wholesale or home improvement. It seems like gas has been making a regular appearance, I think all year so far.

One of the best aspects of this card is the auto-redemption into your savings account. There are no points to convert, no expiration, just a straight cash deposit. This plays nice as a combo with AOD (which does an auto statement credit redemption).

@Wavester64 summed it up nicely, I think this is a generally great card. It often gives me 5% at Costco, which I really appreciate. I too got a $1,000 auto CLI once. I'm currently at $16,000 and that's WAY more than I'll ever need. I've had zero interaction with customer service.

I called them today and had a very nice conversation. The person I talked also works in membership. She told me it would a soft pull from Equifax will see. We agreed to follow up on Friday. I have a temporary lift on my freeze at Equifax. After membership is completed estimated 1 to 3 days. I will app for the card. Currently I have zero inquiries at Equifax.

I will post again when I have more news

1) How is customer service? Personally I did not have good customer service experience very unhelpful did a dispute and they denied stating i used the card. I also had an experience in my home state about an area that i frequent. Declined my card and the text nor the email gave options to clear card. Called number on back of card and was told that dept closes at 6pm est. After this I got rid of the card.

4) Anything Langely is sensitive about credit or Chex Systems wise? didnt seem to be sensitive to my inqs and new accounts.
