Venmo Visa In Europe?

Has anyone used the Venmo Visa in Europe? I am thinking about getting this card to pay my utilities and I like the fact that there are no FTF and that it is a Visa Signature card. The downside is that it is a Synchrony card. Has anyone had issues using this card in Europe? My other cards are Amex and Mastercards, so having a Visa Signature option would be nice as a backup when traveling.

If I was you i'd get a US Bank Cash+ for 5% back on utlities and TV, internet and streaming.
Since your in the Captial one Eco system get a Venture X for travel (if you travel once a year). Otherwise, I would get a better catch all like the fidelity visa with no ftf 2% back or the US Bank Altitude Reserve if your a big spender. This is two card istead of one but one will just sit in your sock draw yeilding 2% more over the Venmo visa and comes with a $200 sub.

Check the agreement-If I remember correctly, my Venmo visa was declined twice in Mexico. I thought it was a processing error but when I returned home I read in my agrement that it was only good in the US.

The Venmo FAQs state that the Venmo Debit card is U.S. only and that the Venmo Visa Credit Card is international.

Was this a Debit or Credit card you tried using in Mexico and did you do any follow-up afterwards?

I was in Europe (Germany and Netherlands) fairly recently, and it was a hassle getting them to accept AMEX. I ended up just using my Visa (Sapphire Reserve) after a couple of days because I was tired of the pushback. If that Venmo card is the credit card, I would just use that.

FWIW, back when the Sync Paypal card had no FTF I used it without a problem in the UK.

It was the credit card as I don't have a Venmo debit card. This was a few years ago-so perhaps terms have changed.
