I got an email from cap one about the new quicksilver that is replacing the old Walmart:

You’re eligible for an offer to switch your new Quicksilver Mastercard® for a different Capital One card.

Did your card already switch? I didn't get this offer, but my card doesn't offically switch until October 11th.

I got this offer a couple days ago. I haven't switched it to another card. I already have a SavorOne, and the 1.5% cash back on the Quicksilver is a better benefit than the 1.25 points on the Venture card for me personally. I also won't switch from a no annual fee QS to an annual fee Venture for the extra fraction of a point. The two Venture cards and the SavorOne were my only options when I checked, so it wasn't something I was interested in.

It's already switched, but I just received an email yesterday that the (QS) card has shipped.

I also have a SavorOne and honestly do not travel enough for the Venture One to be beneficial. I guess I will stick with the QS since those were the only two I was offered also. Couldn't believe they offered me a card that I already have though.

I closed out my Walmart Cap1 before they could switch to QS, no SUB. Then a couple weeks later was offered a pre-approval on all these cards with the SUB, but a HP on acceptance. Since I have no need for CAP1 cards, (All of them), other than to churn for SUB, and had already just opened 5 other new cards. I accepted it, fulfilled the spend, looking for the SUB to be credited. Then lock card and confine to the sock drawer.

I already had a QS card and when my Walmart card switched to a QS, I just moved the CL from the "new" QS to my old one. I wasn't offered a new card, but I already have a SavorOne and I have no need for the Venture card, so moving the CL over made the most sense to me.

I've still got the new QS card and it will sit in the sock drawer with the $500 CL that CapOne makes you leave on the card. I thought about closing it, but no real need to, I'm sure CapOne will close it if it sits in the sock drawer long enough with no use.

I too received the option to switch the Walmart QS to a savor or venture one card. I already have a QS card. I've had my existing QS card for about 12 years and my Walmart card for about 10 years. I really don't need 2 QS cards, but I don't want to lose the history associated with the Walmart one. If I swapped it to a savor one card, does anyone know if my history would follow the savor one card? I might would consider switching if I was able to keep my history. Also, I saw someone else mention that they had 2 QS cards also and didn't need 2. They mentioned requesting that their Walmart CL be moved to their other QS card and then closed the Walmart card. Has anyone else done this and did capital one give any problems? I would hate to lose the history, but if I could increase my current capital one card from $30k to $40k and then close the $10k Walmart capital one card then that's also something to consider.

Yes, you will keep your account history. If you do a PC with Capital One nothing changes other than the card design and rewards type; the account number will stay the same.

I've read other places where they will do a hard pull on you. Do you know if that's true? I really don't want any hard pulls as I've had a couple recently and am trying to avoid that. If they would just switch my cards, I would probably do that.

I believe it was on someone else's post in another thread. I couldn't find it again though so I guess there isn't any issue. It almost seems like a no brainer to switch to the savor one card for me. I won't use it a lot, but it may save a little on the TV subscriptions. It's better than 2 of the same card if everything creditwise stays as is. I appreciate your help with this.
