I am thinking about using my Citi DC again as my daily driver. I have about 12 autopays on it. Is it too risky to carry it around?

Risky from what? Skimming? Fraud?

Put it in your mobile wallet, set up alerts (transaction over $, card not present), check monthly and don't lose your card and you should be fine. Avoid swiping and I can't remember the last time I've had to swipe my credit card, the risk from skimming should be minimal.

I don't think fraudulent charges has anything to do with using the card.

A card can have problems and live in a sock drawer or only be used for auto pays.

Personal experience has been that any card can have an issue and have seen no correlation to

number of swipes or being used in person vs Internet, or auto pay pulls, etc.

Every few years one card has a fraudulent charge post and it is is easy and fast to fix.

Just use your cards how you want and check every cycle at least once.

No, I wasn't thinking about fraud; I was more concerned with canceling all of the autopays. If the card/wallet it's gets stolen or lost.

Plus, living in the sock drawer makes this highly unlikely to occur rather than in my pocket as the daily driver.

I wouldn't worry about it. Just update the 12 autopays if the card gets lost or stolen. Updating a dozen autopays with a new card number should only take 30 minutes or so. No big deal.
