Income vs. How much CL would Amex be able to give me?

Like, I have 30,000 income and about 20K in TCL among all my cards...trying my best in these tough times.

I have a 4K limit currently on my Amex BCP.

***How much maximum credit limit can I get on my Amex BCP with CLI? How hard would it be to get to said limit in the next 12 months?

***I was wanting also the Amex Blue Business Plus card (not applying until March 2026 probably)....So like what is the total max credit limit exposure among all Amex credit cards they would be able to give me?

I've read that amex limits total credit to 50% annual income. I don't know how business limits figure in.

Not sure but, I'd put your AMEX ceiling at no more than $10k. It would almost certainly take multiple CLIs to get there. Try for 1.5x to boost CL to $6k. If successful, try for another 1.5x after 3 months to get to $9k CL. Then hold.

I used to be at the same income level.
how is your debt (DTI) currently?

I started out with a 2K SL I believe. 4K is an awesome amount of credit for this income.
My unsolicited advice if your new to credit cards (forgive me): please be cautious and do not over spend, or spend anticipating paying for it next weeks paycheck. I personally know how difficult it is to pay off debt when I made this much.

anyway, for your question: why are you looking for that maximum in 12 months? They usually say 50% income but I imagine that's a HARD limit. Not necessarily that you'll get there.

Is generally correct.

My experience is as follows. Initial bce $6000 (total cl at time, $2500), auto cl I at six months to $9000. At one year, requested and approved 3X cl I to $27000. About a month later, approved for Hilton at $1000. At 91 days approved cl I to $3000. At 9 months requested cl I to $9000, approved for $5900. No big spend on either card. I think I'm close to their exposure limit.

Income $73000, dti 1%, fico8s near 800.

In my experience about the same. 50% is a good number to shoot for but I know some people go higher but I'm not trying to poke the bear so to speak.
