I think I'll pass ....

I haven't seen a Disco 0% offer > 10 months in forever, and with the same options as you describe above (0% 5% fee or 3.99% 5% fee for longer duration). And I have a quite healthy CL, very old account, and utilization down in the floor (zero balance carry, purchases to snag 5% cash back if I have purchases that will take advantage of it -- usually I don't).

They seemed more inclined to give me CLI when I was carrying a balance -- which sounds a lot like CapOne, now that I think about it.

So for years now, I have been eligible for balance transfer offers each month with terms of 3-4% fee for 0% for 12 months or 15 months with no fee at rates ranging from 5.99% to 7.99%. You can have the amount requested applied to other credit cards or Discover will deposit the amount requested up to the credit limit into a bank account. For the first time since merging with Capital One in May 2025, I am no longer eligible for balance transfers. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or is my 780 credit score suddenly not good enough anymore.

Looked up my account today, found 10 months at 0% for a 3% fee. Best they have offered in about a year. There have been months however, when no BTs were offered. Why? Unknown. Long time customer with Fico 08 score of 812. Over the many years have used several BTs and I used to have much higher scores.

The why is unknown? Wondered myself if it was the merger of Cap1 and Discover. Then out of no where they offered a decent BT.

Thank you for commenting . Had some new credit opened beginning of the year and utilization is around 15% but that utilization is not dangerous. Hmmmm maybe the new credit but at least I know it's still out there but interesting that my offers disappeared the same month as the merge but clearly they are still out there. Well at least I know now. Have been an 8 yrs customer and have no balance on the card. No lates either. Thanks to everyone for commenting

I currently am being offered 0% for 10 months with 3% fee and 6.99% for 15 months with no transfer fee. I haven't used one of their BTs in quite a while. I am using a 0% for 12 months on purchases for new windows we purchased. One thing I have loved about Discover is that they offer the 0% on the new purchases almost anytime you aren't currently using that promotion. I'm really hoping Cap One doesn't remove that benefit.

I've always liked the 15 month options with no fees with low rates like yours . I've used them many times but at the moment no offers. I'm not sure why that has suddenly changed but I'm sure it's some algorithm in play. Same here as Cap One offers nothing to me for balance transfers and Discover has always been the best!

I am sure if you needed it and you called, they'd have something to offer you.

what i find odd is that BOA wont do the BTs anymore where the just deposit the cash into your bank account and let you pay off your BTs on your own time. They consider it a "direct deposit cash advance" now.

as time goes on, we will have to see how policies change. And despite the merger, we may not visually see much of a change other than in the fine print of "capital one bank" and possibly on our credit reports showing "capital one"

but the entities LLC have already been set up so I doubt they change much. You can buy out anoother company, and keep things the same operationally but make a few policy chancges here and there in the fine print. that's how I do it ;-) plus it causes less questions and less alarm from consumers. 90% of the population probably will never realize Crapital One bought Discover. Im sure they did it for the branding too. I just love that Jennifer Collidge commerical!!! lol

I did get an email offer from them on Friday (8/1) afternoon - 12 months 0% APR 4% fee. Offer good until 9/23.

So Discover is now offering me two options:

0% for 12 months with 4% fee OR 6.99% for 15 months with no fee. The latter option is pretty good.

Discover BTs are still out here for me. They are 0% for ten months and a 5% fee.

Citi eliminated BTs on my accounts and Chase has never given me BTs (go figure since 2006 perfect record and pay off).

Love US Bank/Elan ... they offer me various BTs at the market rate interest of around 17.99%? Why would I do that? NOT!

Citi never offer BT to me either on any of my cards. Cap one offers to me at market rate of like 30% with no fees! Yay! Citi did offer me 9.99% on new purchases from November 10 2025 thru July 2026 which has happened maybe twice now in the last few years.

Discover has the best BT offer at 6.99% for 15 months and no fees currently.
