These are usually targeted, holders of different cards can also get them. I have the same offer on my Flagship.

No net minimum spend requirement for each transaction to count, just must be net positive.

Offer must be activated, some specific eligible MCC are 4812, 2814, 4899, 4900, 6300, and 6381.

I really need to start paying attention to my emails. I was looking in my saved emails and came across a bonus offer for September. Spend $250 in September for $50 rewards. I only saw the email on September 25th after already having spent $300 on my account but before registering. Clicked to register and then brought forward a couple of recurring payments scheduled for October. Total spend was $261.40 and received $50 cash rewards.

My own experience has been that they would extend an offer of some type maybe once every 6 months. This is the 3rd offer I've received this year though, 1st time I've received them in consecutive 2-month windows.

We've been a customer with them at one point in time, and only once did I receive a CC or rewards offer for 80k points. For whatever reason, didn't take them up on it. It was tempting.

If you find a good deal from them, it doesn't hurt considering the offer. It's not guaranteed to happen again, at least for a long while.

I'm seriously considering a product change to the more rewards from the cash rewards. I never get offers on the cR anymore, the last was June 2024.

The min $50 redemption has held me back on a card that I would barely use, but with regular offers it could add up quickly.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Is there anything you have to do to opt into these offers? I've never received one from any of my NFCU cards. Of course, I've only had some for a few months, but I'm wondering if there's anything I need to sign up for, or if they just send them out automatically as they see fit.

@ziggy29 Nothing to opt-in to. They just appear. YMMV. My last one was this time last year (May 1, 2025-June 30, 2025) for 6,000 bonus points when I made 2 or more eligible payments for utilities, insurance, phone, internet, and cable services. Prior to that, I got the same offer for Sep 2, 2024-Oct 31, 2024.

So, looks like every 6-7 months I'm getting an offer. But, they're random. Prior to that was one in 2023 for restaurant spend/bonus.

My recommendation, just check special offers monthly.

All I ever see is the 'expired' one from Fall of last year which was just the sign up offer. I don't use the card though, so I wonder if that is the reason.
