FNBO Evergreen - Do you get frequent BT offers?

Just curious for those of you out there who have the Evergreen card.....do you get many 0% BT promos?

I am in the market for a backup 2% driver, but.....since it will not be used often, it needs to have a dual use. Having cards which offer frequent 0% BT promos and are fairly easy to CLI to a decent limit, are good to have around.

My Discover and BoA offer relentless 0% BT offers.

When I used to have the Citi Double Cash, I got frequent 0% promos and never used them. I may consider getting another one of these, but wanted to know a little about the Evergreen from the long-term holders, just to have some insight. From what I know, the Evergreen has had a history of healthy SL's for many people on the forum, so I'm really curious about the BT offers.

I used to get BT offers for my Evergreen at least semi regularly but never used them and now I haven't gotten one in a while. As I recall the offers weren't all that great anyway. USB on the other hand seemingly is always sending me BT checks and the offers there aren't Earth shattering either but not terrible. Citi just wants me to take a flex loan all the time.

My Evergreen started with a 10k limit and then after 6 months I called in and got it raised to 15k, after the first CLI you can request them every 4 months and I did until I hit the SP CLI cap of 25k. Never an issue there.

The first year, for me, they sent offers all the time. I'm on year 3 and haven't had a bt offer in 1 1/2 years now.

Though, they have been shifting cards to other lenders in that 1 1/2 years as well. My fnbo BestWestern is now with mercury.

They may just not see enough benefits to offer the BTs anymore, or the risk has gone up for them. Not sure...

Added note: Maybe consider a solid credit union cash back card. Most credit unions have endless BT offers. I always see BT offers at the three CUs I have currently. Does your AOD CU have regular CB offers?

I've yet to see one. Got my card in June and get offers on other cards but not my Evergreen.

The only offers I've been getting from them (latest was on Monday) are the mailers with 7.99% fixed APR w/5% BT fee checks.

When I had the Evergreen type Visa Card, FNBO always offered 5.99% interest with 4% Fees. Never had a better rate and they offered them sporatically.

Finally I got tired of FNBO and closed them down.

Not sure I've ever gotten a BT offer on the Evergreen. There was probably one when I opened the card. Since then, if there were any, they were so long ago I've forgotten.

[EDIT: Or they were offers that didn't seem all that attractive so I didn't bother remembering them.]

Just a 2% card that grew nicely for me.

Well, I have the FNBO Ducks Unlimited card and this sounds like they pretty much treat them the same. The only BT offers I get with Ducks is the 5.99% type offers others mentioned. I can request CLI every 4 months, but now at $16k CL they tell me it requires a HP for CLI, so I have kept that CL for a while. The 25k SP CLI cap you mention doesn't seem to apply to me...lol.

I have had the AOD card since the wave first hit myFICO, and I have never seen any CB offers. I"m ok with that though, as it's a flawless 3% driver. Since I am already with AOD and Affinity CU, I am not really looking for another CU right now. I've also been tangling with the Aven 3% card since there is no CU involved, but there are too many unknowns right now with that one.

My primary choices have been the Citi DC, Wells Fargo AC, Evergreen and Aven....but I don't know if WF offers BT promos either, or if they are easy to CLI? I guess currently with the info I have, I'm leaning toward Citi DC ....(or possibly Aven?)

Citi does seem to send me offers for various things, it seems like every week, between my x2 Citi CustomCash cards.

I rarely use any of the offers though.

Sometimes, I may see a 10% to 20% cb offer at Starbucks or a restaurant i was going to go to anyways and activate it. Every time I've done that, i get the normal 5%cb on dining in addition to 10 to 20% offer, its effectively 15% to 25% back.

Other than that, I've only used 1 citi balance transfer offer out of all the ones offered from them.

Citi is like a muscle though, if you don't use it, you lose it. They like to do cld's a lot if you're not flexing them as a daily driver or at least a back seat driver.
