I just got an AMEX card, so that's good to know!

I have multiple credit cards with Chase and recently requested a credit limit increase after a long time. The second credit card I attempted to get an increase, it said it was ineligible, probably similar reasons with the timing and limits for increase.

I have many Amex cards, personal and business ones. I have not requested CLI on any of them for ages since I already have large CL on each of them.....Just few days ago I requested CLI on one of business cards, Amazon one, and requested only $9k which got instantly approved to total $50k limit. So, today I thought to request CLI on 3-4 other cards wherein I never asked for CLI for ages...since many many years...but without even requesting anything when I just clicked credit limit increase option then system states that I have recently received CLI, thus I am not eligible for CLI....Don't know its a technical glitch or technical error or whatever because I never ever asked CLI on those cards...The only CLI I got 3 days ago on only one card which I requested only $9k...So, don't know why I am getting this message as if I got CLI on all those cards...unless Amex has policy of giving CLI only once in 6 months on only one Amex cards....Any idea or experience....Thanks

You're limited to getting a CLI on one card every 90 days... it used to be separate for Business and personal.

If you're secretly approved to be extended an additional 50k, you may be approved for that much on a single card or spread throughout all of them.

The second credit card I attempted to get an increase, it said it was ineligible, probably similar reasons with the timing and limits for increase.

First, the rules and policies of every financial institutuins are different. Secondly, I have noticed too lately (in the last 7 months) that Chase also have similiar policies in respect to CLI when it comes to granting CLI only on one card out of all at a time and within certain time period. Others might have different experience but that's how I experienced and witnessed. Thirdly, in the past I received CLI on multiple Amex cards at the same time but last time I got CLI on one card and when I tried CLI on other cards (personal and business) then its stated that I already received CLI recently on those cards even though its been years when last time I received CLI on any of those cards....Rules and policies of all these banks are kept changing.
