Could have sworn there was an existing topic but couldn't find it. Anyways, the new card is now open for applications. When I log in to shopyourway.com I have a $500 SUB offer. Not sure if it's different for existing cardholders compared to brand new applicants or what. I'm considering it just for the SUB, having a 5% gas card that's a Visa wouldn't be bad either. 🤷‍♂️

Its an interesting card. With the 5321 they did change the issuer to First Bank & Trust, Brookings, SD which is not a major name. I have seen them before but I cannot say how good the issuance is. I can say though that sometimes with obscure issuers you can find some diamonds in the rough. Based on what I see it might be a really good general gas/city transit card with everything in between included such as tolls and parking lots/garages. Sounds like a dream card if you get out in any way.

Without giving a long list I can get same percentage or better with my existing cards. These three will do the job Custom Cash, Redstone FCU and Cash+.

On the surface, sure. But similar to the OG SYW card, it's the potential with the spending campaigns that could put this over the edge.

If you are talking about the 'Missions' in the app, I agree. But those are what? $5 to $10 per month? If you are talking about the massive spending offers ($100s of dollars), I think those will stay with the converted citi ThankYouRewards card.

So I received my physical card in the mail today. My credit limit was $2,800 in the approval page as well as on the app and in the letter I received. Once I activated the card, I see my limit went up to $5,500. Like the number on the page changed as soon as I activated it. Very, very weird. And I haven’t received any kind of email about it either. I haven’t used it yet either. Not sure what happened there, but I'll take it.

By the way I hate how managing the account is through a web page that you have to verify via email every time you use it. I don’t know why it doesn’t have its own app that I can use biometrics to unlock.

Goto shop yourway.com where this new card is. Scroll all the way to the bottom click on the link for the 2% merchants. They are basically Kmart and Sears only. I have zero interest in this card.

I think you're the first approval that I've seen. If you haven't, please make a post on credit card approvals with data points ♥️

Why can't you log in?

I have not been able to log in since June I think. Both the app and PC tell me I'll be emailed a code .... which never comes. I've missed out on 6 months of easy $5 - $10 per month missions. Since I couldn't log in to SYW to use my points on gift cards, I had to use the last of my points to buy tools at Sears! Glad that worked though. Now that I have used up all my SYW points, I guess I could create a new account .... but trying it real quickly it too sent me a code which never came, lol. I guess I'd have to try different emails.

Right, but you need to register as a SYW member before you can even apply for the card. Some of us are having a hard time registering as a new member and/or logging in as an existing member. I mention my problem.... when I try to log in, it says it will email me acode - which never comes.

Any technical issue with syw has always been resolved within 3 to 4 days when sending a simple email at this adress :

They seem based in the US. I asked about upcoming offers and they replied that they are in the works. They just need a little bit of time to coordinate with the new bank.

I am ready to bet that this card and SYW ecosystem won't be too shabby. They have seen the citi retail secret sauce, and they can replicate it if with their new bank. If SYW ecosystem doesn't get generous in the next 3 to 6 months, they are dead.... Their app is slow, their new card is good but the competition, especially the citi thank you card is very agressive. They need a major revamp of their app, and generous missions and offers. I am betting that they will become a contender to citi thank you card! I could be wrong obviously, but worth watching this card and the offers closely in the next 6 months or so,IMHO.

Their initial bonus for a no fee card was excellent. Helped me get a $1000 discount on my property tax (p1+p2 got the $500 bonus)!
