How Long to Receive Amex Hilton Aspire Card?

I originally applied on the 8th of November and was told I should receive the card by the 12th. Although the customer service rep told me it was sent UPS, no one could tell me the tracking number. By the 19th, they ordered a card replacement, and said it should arrive by the 21st. However, I don’t see any incoming packages on my UPS My Choice, so I’m not holding out much hope that it will come today either.

This time I’ve decided to wait until at least the end of the month before I call back should I need to do another replacement, but just to be safe, I did freeze the card online anyway.

Does anyone have any idea of the current turnaround time from when it’s approved, to when I should expect to receive it?

Also, does anyone know when the 6 month clock starts on earning the 175k points? Does it start once approved, or when you actually confirm receipt of the card online?

The card is overnighted so you should've gotten it in 2 days. You can also track the card on your online account

Hi Trant3,

Thank you for replying. You are correct, under Account Services online, it does allow me to track the card, and it says the card should have been delivered via UPS last Friday, 11/21, but unfortunately it's a no show. It's also a little frustrating that I have not received a UPS tracking number for it. I'm not sure why Amex does not automatically provide that.

My BCP card came regular mail a couple months ago and I did not have any problem at all. It took about a week, but it arrived just fine.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it. arrives sometime this week.

If there was no tracking number, then the card never got to UPS, it may have been stolen by someone who works at American Express.

I've always found the "5 - 7 Business Days", for any card, to be pretty accurate. Unfortunately, your intro spending period starts the day of approval, as far as I know. Did you get a virtual card that you can start using?

Thank you for the response!

The intro spending starting the day I was approved is a bit frustrating! I was approved on the 8th, by the time I receive it, I will have lost almost a full month.

I tried to activate and start using the virtual card yesterday and it did not work. From what the CS rep told me, you only have a short period of time to use that feature, and unfortunately I missed the window. Hopefully it arrives soon.

Most unfortunate.

In my experiences I have had situations from a number of financials where (over many years) for unknown reasons, the card did not actually get ordered or never left the card processing center. Turned out it was not internal theft rather, ineptness on the part of the card processors!

JP Morgan Chase has been 6 to 8 days, Citi 6 to 40 days, US Bank 4 to 6 days (like clock work). All regular USPS.

When expedited, one to two calendar days has been the norm for all. The last few years tracking was offered. Frankly, my preference for expediting has been Fed Ex. For some reason, the last three years UPS has been a disappointing (theres more but I will not rant).

It has been a long time related to American Express so I cannot remember (closed my cards).
